I was looking for a trainer that had a little more cushioning than Reebok Nanos and Inov-8's. I complete 3 conventional strength training sessions per week and finish them with metabolic conditioning workouts of about 20 minutes (WOD's). I wanted a shoe that would provide support during traditional heavy squats, deads, and presses and also be responsive enough during box jumps, burpees, etc. I also wear custom orthotics and these shoes accommodate them very well. I have used boost running shoes for long distance running and have been very happy with the cushioning. I haven run in these yet, but am sure they will accommodate my needs when I do.
Bought these shoes as a few people had recommended them to me. They certainly feel a lot more sturdier than normal trainers so hopefully with the extra sturdiness the confidence should build and start lifting big. The only recommendation I could give is to go a half size bigger as they are rather tight, unless they give slightly
Bought these for my son for Christmas in a 10 which is the same as his adidas football boots. They were too small so ordered in an 11 and they are perfect. Would recommend that if you are used to buying adidas you go at least a half size or even a full size larger. Must say the return and refund of the original pair was easy and straight forward.
Definitely a great shoe to purchase if you can find it. I got both the KITH and GR and both are great. Super comfortable but a little difficult to get on. I went an whole size down (normally a 13 and 12 fits great)
I ditched my Asics Cumulus/Nimbus shoes for the Boost series and have been running in them for a few years now (about 30 miles/week). I still like the Boost 3 but much prefer my Boost 2 pair which were wider and had more breathable uppers.
Great shoe that fits well, bought these shoes as a low cost shoe to run 5km-10km on the treadmill at the gym and they have been awesome so far. They also look good, I am very happy with them and would buy them again. Jeff
So I purchased this shoe mainly for running, which has only occurred indoors as I have not been able to take them outdoors yet. Long story short- I like them. The fit is nearly perfect with regards to both width and overall size, they are really lightweight and super comfortable that it feels as if I'm walking on a cloud. The climacool technology really does work as you can literally feel the air on your feet when you're taking strides. I also really like the overall look of the shoe and it doesn't hurt that I got them at a great sale price that I could just not refuse. There are only a couple of things that I don't like about the shoe (a) the insole tends to move around fairly easily when taking the shoe off so it's something that I constantly have to adjust (b) whenever I'm putting on the shoes, they make a subtle cracking noise that I initially thought that I was breaking them. If you can look past the couple of things that I dislike then this is a great buy, even at the regular price! I would definitely recommend and will look in adidas' direction should I need to purchase another pair of runners.
I am a woman and always have trouble finding gear that isn't pink or a horrible 'girly colour' so I was thankful I found these. I also have wide feet so always a problem to get shoes that fit me, these shoes were a gamble that paid off - nice wide fit and very solid without being heavy. Really good for novice weightlifters like me, I can feel the different in the power of my deadlifts and squats in these shoes. The only vaguely negative thing I would say is that the top of the shoe toe can curl in and squash your toes a bit if you're walking about or stretching in them but the shoe outer is soft so there is quite a bit of give anyway, just not really a shoe to walk around in a lot! I use different trainers to walk to the gym and change into these just for weight sessions.
I ordered these shoes to improve my running experience and feel less stress on my knees. The stress was not minimized a lot with each heel strike, but they didn't hurt my knees as bad. I really enjoyed the bounce and feel of these sneakers. I wear a 12 and they truly fit like socks on my feet. There was not front toe impact or pain and they feel pretty good. I recommend them, but don't accept all the hype, they are not perfect, but do a good job overall.
Very comfortable and stylish trainers but the colour was not good. It was almost orange rather than red so I returned the item. Please produce one with deeper red so I will purchase one without doubt.
Adidas continues to put out dope stuff and for the price this shoe was pretty nice to.It isn't a yeezy but it is just as comfortable and way cheaper.I was actually wanting the Kith ones but I missed out and the resale was way to high.I think the shoe is a all-around dope shoe.
I was looking for a good pair of shoes to replace my Adidas Climacool Oscillator s that I had for about 4 years, wore out, and eventually outlived their use. Sadly they don't make them anymore, so I looked into these, and eventually decided to get them. The shoes feel great, and very similar to my older shoes. It will take time to break them in as they are a bit narrow, Although if you want to buy half a size up that's on you, I just went ahead, and ordered in my normal size. Grip is decent, but I find it doesn't grip to every surface, but brick walls, and concrete which are the most improtant surfaces you are looking for work fine, and they are great in rain. It will take a bit more experimentation to figure out what other surfaces doesn't work, but if you need new shoes for training these are a good choice.
I bought these trainer as an impulse purchase and i can safely say its one of the best purchases i've ever made. Normally i like to try my trainers on before i buy them to ensure the width and size are comfortable. They fit perfectly, really comfortable when on the treadmill or bike and provides plenty of support when going for those heavy lifts. A really good all round trainer for your gym purposes.
just received today, the fit and style are amazing. i own several pair of the boost line running shoes and love them so once i saw the boost technology incorporated into an actual winter boot i was quite intrigued. i have to say The boost sole fits very well with this boot; definitely decreases the weight and adds comfort with nice flexibility you don't find in most winter boots. i have very high arch and wide feet which measures 10E or 10.5D but always 10.5 in adidas. So, I ordered these in 10.5 and they fit great. i also own a pair of climaheat running shoes so my warmth expectations are high, but first impressions say pretty good. now keep in mind i have a horrible circulation prob with my feet and they get cold easily. my fitting "was indoors" i wore a light weight merino wool sports sock and after 5 min i had to take the boots off because of the heat building up, which lends me to believe these are going to workout great once I'm out in the cold. all in all I'm very excited to put these to the test which will be a frozen tundra in Iceland. i have not tested waterproofing however it appears to be rock solid. I was able to track down on another site a customers review where he praised the shoes water proofing and posted a picture of himself wearing the shoes which were submerged approx 2-3 inches deep in a winter cold river. That photo was the clincher for me. So, so far so good. i'll revisit this review in a couple months with an update. 4 of 5 first impression
I wanted to love these shoes but they look like they were covered in specks of paint. The website images made them look like they were a nice clean set of kicks which is what I was looking for. The fit was great and they were REALLY comfortable. I hated to send them back but they just looked different than what the website portrayed.
Retailers give me a lot of shoes to test out so I've always had free shoes to run with and I choose to save my money. However, we just received the new Ultra Boost ST and I immediately spent my own money with it. Im extremely satisfied with the fit. I pronate quite a bit and the regular ultra boost never quite felt right. But this shoe blew my mind. It comes with a higher price tag than most, but I can tell you its worth it. I highly recommend running with it. I'm also thinking about buying another as a lifestyle shoe.
Looking for a pair of white originals with navy stripes but found these, love them!!! Why are navy stripes so hard to find now though? Love this style, last for years! More colour options would be great, I remember I had white superstar in a variety of colours, navy, pink, silver. Would recommend these, may buy an extra pair!
I take mainly small group "powerbuilding" classes that usually mix rowing or other cardio, with powerlifting (back squats, deadlifts, bench press, depeding on the day.) I had been using Adidas rocket boost running sneakers for over a year, which are great for running, not so great for lifting. These crazy train boost have a nice flat, stable sole and mid-foot stabilizer with just enough cushion to keep them comfortable. I had tried other crossfit type sneakers from rbok and inov8 but found them too flat and had no cushioning. I would imagine these would be a hit with crossfitters, they are everything the Nano's want to be (or that I wanted them to be). I found these to run true to size, I usually were an 11 for running sneakers and 10 1/2 for Sambas, the 10 1/2 Crazy Train were a perfect fit with a narrow midfoot but roomy enough toe box for lifting. They are stiffer than running sneakers and you wouldn't want to run more that a couple of miles, tops, in these, but they are light and sturdy. Highly recommend these.
I bought these to have a change from nano's. They looked ideal for Crossfit, flat sole for lifting but also a slightly raised toe for running. I've only had them a week. Used them for lifting, metcon and they're pretty good over 800m runs too. I wouldn't be looking to cover any distance in them though. Cheaper than nano's and a better all rounder. Thumbs up so far!
I use these shoes at the gym. They feel good on the feet and really have a nice bounce. I had been worried they might be too narrow but they are just right. Almost felt like putting on a pair of slippers. Very comfortable and light on the feet.
I do a lot of HIIT and Weights, these shoes are perfect for this type of training. They have a great sole which provide a solid and stable foundation. Other shoes I've tried even with zero or minimal drop still tend to roll in a the lateral movement, but these keep my feet in the right position all the time.
I have always lifted with my dead-lifts and squats bare footed. However having these has really allowed me to keep my stability and and actually lift a lot heavier than before. Would defo recommend to any serious lifter. Really comfortable and love the fact that they allow half sizes for best fit.
Great trainers for the distance I run ( no more than 6miles ) would definately recommend them and brilliant service from adidas. One thing I'm a size 9 normally but would recommend getting half size bigger as 9 was a bit snug..
Superstars are an iconic classic, they are comfy and timeless and i love suede . My mother who is a stylish lady likes these lots. I ordered mine in red but i think they looked redder on the website photo, they are in fact a bit orangey. I still really like them though! If i were to reorder i would go safer and get black or navy.
These are my first pair of weightlifting shoes, I bought them after watching some videos about how they can improve olympic lifts etc. They fit perfectly, i'm a size 10.5 in adidas shoes and they were exactly right. The delivery was a little late, but I'm no rush as I am currently building a weightlifting platform. I would definitely recommend.
