I bought these trainers to wear for the gym and they fit perfect! They're one of them trainers that you don't have to 'wear in' a bit before wearing because they're so comfy. They look really good and really let my feet breathe while working out (no stuffy feet feeling).
I am not an athletic person, I do try to keep fit. These are my first Boost series shoes and I am never going back to anything else. The fit is fantastic, the grip on the road perfect, the feedback you get on your sole is surprising.
I purchased the black version and received it today. I took the advice of the reviewers and got a 1/2 size smaller and that worked perfectly. When you first open the box, these shoes pop. They are very cool looking. there are two distinct patterns - look at the left side and look at the right side. I like that they are dark almost black looking in general. For example, if you are outside in the sunlight, the shoe appears to be a dark charcoal colored shoe. Thus you can wear just about anything. It is when you are inside that different light can really show the colors. Any flash the color scales go white. Very cool! The shoe is comfortable and definitely unique.
Nice looking trainer arrived on time and was a good fit but my sporty son only wore it a few times and the thin fabric upper started to develop a hole. Rather disappointed that the material was not strong enough to withstand greater wear and tear.
I bought these shoes after I came back from a trip to NY and everyone was wearing them there and I fell in love with them. It was actually cheaper for me to buy them in Australia than the US due to the exchange rate. They are very comfortable and wear well with pants, skirts and dresses
Have been wearing smiths since 1975, when available, and still have my last pair from 2003 ish, but worn out. I wear them 24/7, ok, I take them off to go to bed. Ordered, then started with bad thoughts that they will not be the same, probably cheaper materials etc. Got 2 pair from here today, compared with my old ones, some very slight differences, but virtually spot on.
If you haven't bought them and are thinking of buying them . . . BUY THEM. I bought them for work, and there comfortable to walk in all day. Not to mention that these got compliments for appearing to have Marvel superheroes in the 3 stripes when looked from a distance. They're fashionable, durable and comfortable period.
well i needed a 12.5 but at that size they only have them in 12, 13 and 14. i got them in 13 and they fit fine. a little big, but better than a 12 which i can't wear. they do look black or a greenish tone but you will notice that they do change colors when the sunlight hits them or whenever a flash is taken. i do notice that in certain situations they go from black normally to white when the flash is taken aside from the black 3 stripes. not sure if they did this on purpose or not, but it is very cool looking. i would say they are kind of like the box that they come in where it mixes every color at once on the 3 stripes. kind of like the strip on the front of a mastercard where it bounces every color at you depending on where the light is coming from. normally you will get a lot of dark green/purple depending on the light. take them out in the daylight and you will see more or indoors depending on the light . i would definitely recommend these for anyone who is into shoes.
Really in love with the design and color scheme. These are really comfortable and have a certain mystique because it looks great for casual or for running purposes. I am starting to dig the boost technology. Hire me Adidas? Would love to work at adidas
I run two marathons per year, one in the spring and one in the fall each year. My shoe is the adios. That shoe was moved to boost technology. I purchased my first pair in early 2014, orange and silver, started experiencing slight knee discomfort after my first run, but I thought it was a running technique issue. I raced one marathon in those shoes. Purchased a second, same issue although not as bad. My current pair, purchased in Feb 2015, have caused even more knee discomfort. I wish there was an adios option without boost technology. Otherwise, I'm afraid I am going to move to another shoe maker. I would like to avoid because all my running apparel (running shorts, short and long-sleeve running shirts, socks, pants, jackets, gloves, beanies) are also adidas.
Bought these and was blown away by the quality and fit of these shoes. They are fantastic for skating or casual wear and I would definitely recommend them to skaters and fashionable people everywhere.
I've always wanted a pair of this Stan Smith sneakers - and finally I got to own a pair and they're super comfy and very stylish to go with my casual outfits. I personal will recommend to go up a size or even 1/2 size - as I find it slightly small for me (I've ordered the man's size 4). So, make sure you check the size chart before you purchase it. Apart from that I love my new sneakers :)
My son started wearing these in early April 2015 and has averaged running about 25 to 30 miles a week since then. After six months the tread wear is pretty even but it is time to replace them. The continental tread is pretty tough and no issues with the upper portion. He races in spikes though. My brother-in-law who is a college cross country coach recommends getting two pairs of training shoes to alternate. Pretty expensive when I have 4 boys and 2 are already involved in XC. However, injuries could prove more expensive.
Perfect sizes, perfect fit, and a perfect material. Looks really classy, and are very comfortable as well. the overall design makes it look so cool without loosing the benefit of comfort! I got them customised which makes my pair even better.
I have been wearing this same shoe the exact style for over 40 years. It is the only tennis shoe I wear. Over the years friends and family have given me other tennis shoes to wear and they just don't measure up to the Stan Smith. I am a professional photographer and am outside on my feet up in all kinds of terrain and this is my everyday shoe. The last for a very long time and are a great value. I have only been able to find them on direct order for the past few years but as long as Adidas keeps making them I will keep buying them.
I use them to referee soccer games. I have used them on wet & dry field turf, also on dry grass. If you are looking for a minimalist upper with a flexible sole, these are great. They are cushy when up on your toes sprinting and cushy for heel strikes. I've put about 60 miles on them with no discernible wear and less knee pain then my previous Nike shoes. Would love to see the "boost" used in a Samba-like shoe to play soccer in.
The shoes are great they fit perfectly and the style is flawless. I don't like how on my right shoe i can be standing, and no matter how I tie, adjust of modify my foot in the shoe, my foot always shifts and it becomes a bit uncomfortable. but other than that, it is a pretty amazing shoe. Great feel and resistance
One of my favourite purchases! Being not much of a sneaker head, I don't buy trainers on the regular. So when it came down to buying a new pair of trainers, I found myself stuck, until I stumbled across these bad boys. At first I was very hesitant to even look at these trainers, considering the price and what not. But after long consideration, I went ahead and purchased them. And what can I say? Just perfect. Great for those tough gym sessions where moving around in the wrong footwear can affect your workout. Highly recommended.
Product ordered on-line and arrived before expected delivery date. Product was as described and illustrated on Adidas website. The shoes them selves are lovely. They appear well made and are very light and comfortable. The fit was perfect. On these particular shoes you don't need to worry about needing to upsize half a size like some others. They also come with alternative colour laces for when a different look takes your fancy. Highly Recommended.
Runners' World got it right when they named the Supernova Glide Boost 6 as editors pick last year!! The Glide 7 just continues the tradition!! Great shoe of all my workouts, including long runs, tempo sessions and hill reps! Mile after mile, they just keeps propelling my feet forward!!
My second time to wear an adi shoe. Well I have to say it has great traction. Also boots is Awesome. However, the forefoot is extremely terrible. No adiprene+. No response. No cushion. I don't suggest big guys choose this one.
I've had a pair of the Miss Stans for a year but I've been dying for the unisex one just because it looks adorable on girls. And I've been patiently waiting for them to be restocked so as soon as they were, I grabbed them immediately. They're so clean and beautiful!
I got these trainers first in black for me and they are superb !! So I thought I'd get these new design blue Los Angeles for my girlfriend and she loves them and so does everybody else best fitting and looking trainer I've seen on a women in a long time well recommended, men get the flat ones and women get the ribbed waved sole ones totally COOL!! .
I think these are great running trainers for winter, or even just to move around. The sole is incredibly soft and you feel like you are walking on wool. I have worn them in this relatively warm weather and it might keep you feet a bit too warm but for winter time they are perfect.
Got daughters Stan Smiths for birthday . Money off online and delivered to Westfield to collect as up there anyway. Info all the way on email and texts - brilliant. Daughter tries on, needs half size more. Called store and they reserved stock and same day did exchange. Counter staff and manager brilliant. Thanks all.
