micoach is all you need to get the results you want.
Good for concrete and track running, comfy and lightweight. To be honest I expected them to be 'bouncier' that a regular running shoe due to the blades, but I don't feel any noticeable difference. You also can't really take them off of a smooth surface at all. I sometimes run along the canal on a surface of small stones and you can hear what sounds like the blades cracking/snapping as you hit the ground which makes you feel uncomfortable, as if they're going to break. Small stones also get wedged in between the blades and you can hear them scrape on the ground as you run.
I wouldn't have bought this for 200$ but i got it for 100 so my opinion my differ from those who bought it for higher price. But ignoring that, these are great running shoes. They are light, form fitting, great looking and overall perform very well as running shoes. The upper is entirely primeknit which is very light, breathable and also durable. They are also reflective throughout but I don't really care about that. The soles are nice as well, the boosts soles are alright, i don't really understand the hype about them but they are definitely not bad. The continental outsoles on the other hand are absolutely fantastic at being gripping the ground. The only quip i have about the shoes are minor. I have the grey pair and they look a little too feminie with too much shiny, silvery accents throughout the shoes. And the adidas logo on the tongue gets covered by the laces which will eventually cause the paint the chip off the logo. but whatever if you don't mind the high price and are looking for lightweight running shoes, I'd def recommend these.
I have skinny skinny feet and these things are super snug. The laces are pointless because there's a band that goes over the top of your foot that tightens the shoe. Also, get a half size up, I has to send mine back and get a bigger size. It wasnt even close to normal size for me.
First, the shoe is a great combination of cushion and response. The transition is seamless between foot plant and toe-off. Second, the upper is very comfortable. While the forefoot is a little narrow for me there are no friction points because the material works with the foot and is very forgiving. Great shoe, wish Adidas had a trail version.
I'm a big fan of the adizero line. This will be my fourth pair. I currently have the Bostons as well as the Adios 3s. While I do enjoy the Bostons, I'd recommend paying the extra change for the Adios 3s. The shoes are similar but the Adios' offer a comfort fresh out the box that is hard to replicate. Just my feet and I's opinion.
Awesome training and running shoe. It looks great, comfortable as can be, like walking on air. BUT, taking off a star because the sizing is whacked! Usually wear a size 12, ordered up 1/2 sz to 12.5 and though they fit, barely any wiggle room. Size 13 would probably be perfect. I'd keep that in mind if ordering.
This shoe is perfect for me. I hope Adidas continues to make this shoe without changing much. The last shoe I used was a different brand and was way too cushy and soft and actually ended up causing foot and ankle pain. I switched to the Supernova Glide Boost 8 based on a recommendation and couldn't be happier. I've been running with this shoe for a couple months now. The shoe is supportive, comfortable, and still manages to be responsive. The Boost material is phenomenal. I highly recommend this shoe.
I had the shoes for about two months , and did some light running and walking in them, and I didn't wear them every day because I had other shoes, but I was walking yesterday and a huge hole ripped by itself in the mesh of my shoe, after light wear.
First of all I'm a Trainer at a Gym. I would like to say shoes are my number one priority when training. I move around a lot so comfort is number one. These shoes are very light! They have a very nice bounce to them which makes it feel you are quick on your feet. The only drawback is they are narrow at the top height wise. My big toe seems to hit the top easily which can get irritating. Up side I don't notice it always. All in all definitely recommend these shoes.
i still remember the first time to try the boost, already know this new technique will bring adidas more and more great shoes. That feeling is amazing! So this is my second boost shoes. I can't afford an ultra boost which also not fitted to my feet. But I find this one even with discount. I just check yesterday at footlocker, they still sell this shoes at regular price. Haha what a great shoes!
The Boost cushioning in these feel amazing with a caveat. While the Boost in the heel feels really squishy and amazing, the forefoot Boost is much, much thinner and can't be felt nearly as much as the Boost cushioning in the heel area. The effect of the firmer forefoot cushioning is amplified by the fact that there is a drop from the heel to the toe area (which in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing), which shifts a little more weight to the forefoot area. As far as fit goes, I generally wear size 8.5 or 9 and the Pure Boost in 8.5 gives me that great 1-to-1 fit with minimal dead space in front of and above my toes. The material of the upper is fairly stretchy and conforms to the foot which makes these shoes really accommodating to semi-wide-footers like me. Adidas, please implement softer and thicker boost in the forefoot in the Pure Boost 3 (if such a product is in the works)! I'm sure adding a little bit more forefoot boost won't sacrifice ride stability too much (especially considering most people will use these for walking/casual use and not hard core running). Beefier forefoot Boost, please! Forefoot! Forefoot!
I love this show it's almost perfect. Very comfortable with every step. To my foot size perfectly. The one and only one thing I wish that toe wasn't quite so sharp. Just a little wider and just a little Great shoe
SNug fit around the foot , sole is amazingly bouncy , it does increase the look form a size perspective but i can deal with that . I recently also bought mana bounce which i thought were springy and comfortable but these beat them but i prefer the look on the foot of the mana
I have pretty wide feet and normally have to wear a size 13 for the width, but I thought I'd give them a go in a 12 and they fit perfectly. Really comfortable shoes, nice ventilation, generally very happy with them.
This has been by far the best shoe I have bought and owned. These are my everyday shoes from: doing yard work, walking/jogging, biking, working (while standing on my feet 12hrs out my 16hr shift), and just anything.
I think that the Pure Boost ZG often gets overshadowed by the Ultra Boost, but it all depends on what type of activity you're using it for. Of all the boost shoes (and I own them all, hah!) I think the ZG is the best for cross training. You get the comfort of boost but a little more rigidity for other activities (lifting, cross training, etc.) as well as great lateral support. And it looks GREAT on foot - better than in the photos!
This shoe is comfortable and looks good. The only con, is that there really is no support if you are running in them. I have out at least 20-30 miles on these and I have hurt my ankle a few times because there is really no support.
Been using all 5 versions of the Boston as my general trainer for steady and some tempo runs for some years now and the Boston Boost 5 has been favourite and am now onto my 9th pair with up to 500 miles per pair. They provide a good balance between being fairly light and fairly flexible whilst some providing decent cushioning. As somebody with long and narrow feet they fit well width wise although have always felt could do with them being a fraction longer but at UK 12.5 I have no bigger choices and anyway I've not had any problems with blisters. Prefer a lighter and more responsive shoe like the Adios for racing and interval sessions but as a general trainer I will miss these if the scarity of supply now suggests these are being discontinued.
I bought these shoes purely for the look to begin with and hoped that they fulfilled my needs, as i am very particular about the equipment i use for my training and, all i have to say is WOW! These are without a doubt THE most comfortable training shoes i have ever worn, i don't know why i even hesitated or doubted Adidas! I bought these to replace my old first evolution of Adidas UltraBoost which had worn out the sole, this was one of the reasons i hesitated as i wanted to make sure they had a hard wearing sole as well as full Boost cushioning. They have lived up to all expectations so far and have since become my new all purpose training shoes. I have slightly wider foot than normal and change my planting style based on the incline i am facing, but they are a solid platform for heel or ball planters and more than comfortable in both styles of running. I was concerned about the angle of the sole at the rear, thinking it was bit 'top heavy' and might end up rolling my ankle on the trails, but no, its perfectly sturdy and comfortable. The only minor gripe i have is the loose grey band encasing the shoe under the laces. I don't know why or what it is for!? I think it may be an attempt to potentially use the shoe as some kind of slip-on for a fashionable wearer, but it simply bunches up under the laces and serves no real world purpose. Other than that, a very good training shoe!!! Top notch!!!
A total upgrade from it's predecessor from the materials, aesthetically and more boost cushion. The only negative about this is they are not true to size, you have to down half a size at least in my opinion. But wide footers will definitely enjoy this
the shoes are good but not great. For the "comfort" advertised it doesnt reach the potention. A Lunarglide is more comfortable than this. But it looks amazing and I wear it like a casual shoe and that is what it is and nothing more/
Most comfortable shoe I have ever ran in. Looks good enough to wear outside of fitness. After 200 miles it's still got the same feeling low impact and coushioned over kill. The QUALITY IS WEAR THIS SHOE MAY FALL SHORT. THIS SHOE WILL NOT LAST ME A YEAR NOT EVEN CLOSE THE BOTTOM GEL/RUBBER MIX WHICH FEELS GREAT AND HAS GREAT TRACTION IS WEARING AWAY SUPER FAST. Like really fast so if your looking for a great shoe for comfort this is it but its gonna have to be replaced in a few months if your a hard runner. Like they say you get what you pay for there won't be any foot injuries in this shoe. Takes care of all foot types, good running form, or bad form with so much cushion it doesn't matter. Breaths well don't recommend doing anything but running and walking.
These were my first pair of Boost shoes. Was hesitant to pay that much but I am so happy I did. These are by far the comfiest pair of sneakers I have ever owned, which is saying something as I'm a bit of a sneaker head (over 30 pairs in my collection) Just placed an order for a second pair of Boost so I will be walking on squishy clouds all summer!
This is my first pair of boost and pleased with the fit and feel of the boost sole. However, mine are already showing signs of wear on the sole. I have worn them 5 times clocking 50ish miles and the boost foam is starting to show through the sole, I'm not confident that they'll last another 50 miles. For the price of this shoe I would expect them to last much longer. Very disappointed.
I bought a couple of pairs of these while training and running the London marathon. I always buy adidas as being a narrow fit these are ideal. I did have to go up a size in these (probably a combination of being slightly smaller fit and feet expanding during training). These are a light weight trainer, so ideal for marathons.
