This hoodie is a bit warmer than I thought it would be, which is great. It is a cooler weather jacket, really. I'm ca. 5'10/177cm and 170lbs/77kg and a small fits me fine--I wouldn't really describe this as slim fit, it's barely any trimmer than a regular fit. Nonetheless, I bought a medium as well so I can throw a crewneck sweater under it for when the weather hovers around 0 degrees celsius on certain fall mornings. (Even then there is still plenty of room in it.) So, like I say, it can be worn as a sweater or a jacket. It is nice soft material with a fuzzy interior with an almost neoprene-like feel to the trim.
Nice, primarily synthetic top with a supple feel. It's a great alternative to a t-shirt now the weather is hovering between warm and cold--I can wear it on afternoon runs and keep an even temperature weather the wind picks up a bit or the sun beats down. At present I'm ca. 5'10/178cm 175lbs/79kg and wear a size small--this is because I like a closer-to-the-body fit that I can layer under t-shirts, training vests or whatever else. I would go for a medium if I wanted a slightly loose, away-from-body fit more similar to the model. At any rate, it tightens up ever so slightly if washed and dried so the fit can be modified that way. I bought 3 of them just to have around as go-to tops this fall.
I find myself wearing this hoodie more than most of my other options, at least in the warm weather. It transitions from slightly cooler temps to warmer temps while maintaining a comfortable body temperature in both. It is probably the best example of a hoodie doing this that I can think of. It is no doubt the material--climalite--but also how it is woven on this particular hoodie: the inside is similar to other climalite weaves but the outer face is a slightly ribbed weave unique to this hoodie, which seems to vent excess heat more readily than others. As for size, I don't find it baggy. Due to the nature of the material it does have more of a "drape" than other hoodies; it is, however, a performance hoodie more than a fashion hoodie. It still looks good, but to me that is secondary. I'm ca. 5'10"/178cm and 175lbs/79KG at the moment and the small fits me fine. It's trim but that is how I prefer it. I also wash it cold and hang dry it to keep in from tightening up any more. Thanks for reading.
Good for winter training. I bought the Solar Red colour (bright orange really) for cycling/running when it gets cold/dark. Nice size & shape. Slim fit, not big and baggy. Large size fits me perfectly. I'm 6'1 / 12.5st (185cm / 80kg). Only loses 1 star because the description says its "ready for whatever the weather brings". Its not, it will keep you warm but its not waterproof at all. (Apart from the waterproof zips which seem a bit pointless if the rest of the material isn't waterproof!)
So happy with this purchase, it is even nicer in person. Very nice fabric and well made. It does fit very slim though, so beware what kind of hoodie you are looking for. This is not a loose-fit chill hoodie.
I'm a bit of an Adidas fanatic, only clothing I will wear. I'm a PT so like to be comfortable yet stylish and look professional and Adidas clothing ticks all the boxes. Great garment, feels great , looks fab and is very comfy.
I was so crushed! I had bought the old model of this jersey (without thumbholes) and it was hands down the best fitting and most comfortable running shirt I ever bought. Ive had one for two years and worn it constantly. I spoke to an adidas rep to try and find the closest replacement and I was pointed me to this new edition. Its noticeably smaller in the torso, the sleeves are shorter despite the addition of thumbholes (which mean the sleeves need to be longer), the adidas logo has lower quality "paint" and is less reflective, and the collar bunches and was re-designed. So bummed. The fabric is even thinner which may be a change in climalite, but I think it just feels cheaper and holds its shape less well. I wish I had bought 20 of the old model and worn them happily ever after.
This product fit on me and I am tall and my arms very long. So I choose one number up only for cause. Fit very well a bit loose on waist. But I prefer this way. A lot pockets, what is good. I love this hoodie. it is very warm when it is very cold on street. Thanks Adidas
I ordered a medium, the fit is just right. I'm 178cm and 75kg. I'm not bulk, but in okay shape. The fit is snug, not constricting. So after two weeks on wear, on and off, and I find a couple of runs in the sleeve. I thing it was from carrying something that wasn't smooth. Bit disappointed really. I certainly won't be picking up the cat while wearing this. Overall I like the top, the look and the fit, just sad the material lets it down.
I thought I would really like this shirt. The color and pattern is excellent. The problem is with the neck. It's too loose. I was hoping for a tighter fit on the neck and the arms, like sports polo shirts fit. Maybe version 2 will be better.
I've used mine for a while now and its pretty good. Material quality is very good, no itching or rubbing so far. I am 5.8" and size small fit is decent, but I wish it to be just a bit shorter in sleeve and hem length.
Love this shirt for summer running. Ultra lightweight, comfortable material and great design. I'm really impressed at how this shirt wicks away sweat during long runs. The fit is consistent with other adidas sizing.
Comes up slightly tight on me (when compared to shirts of the same size) but that's given that the top is intended for training. It looks great in black and has a bright contrast seam on the inside. Hand pockets don't zip. Zips are the stiff waterproof style ones, so not easy to open on the run (if you do that sort of thing).
Great tech hoodie for runs and just wearing around casually as a stand alone piece early mornings or at night during fall/spring. Thumbholes are sometimes a bit of a nuissance but otherwise the hoddie fits great and washes easily. The midnight colour definitely stands out! Fit is true to size.
I'am 5 45, 160lbs. I usually wear slim-fit medium shirts and pants from both adidas performance, and originals. If you want a slim-fit/muscle-fit, buy a small size, which is what I did and still comfortable. But if you want some more room and does not care about the shape of your body, but a medium.
The daybreaker is great for winter as its nice and lightweight and it keeps me really warm. With three pockets there is plenty of storage and I love the fit design of the hood. I wear the daybreaker to and from training and have found it holds up pretty well in the rain too. I normally wear a medium however i found the medium to be quite short around the waist and so i went for the large.
first of all, this "jacket" looks very sharp and expensive. It also has those little holes for the thumbs to keep it rolling up. People will look! Although they have a front pocket to stash your iPod/phone in it, there is no hole for the wire - WHOOPS! I bought it one size smaller (I usually wear XL but i bought L) and it fits PERFECT. It is not for "heavy" cold or snow, but for the mild cold we have in Greece its perfect.
I bought this hoodie mainly for working out and running which is why I like the fact that's its a little loose, giving me that freedom in mobility. Even though I use it to workout, I also wear it just as an everyday hoodie and it also looks great. Love the colors!
I'm a girl and I bought the small for me. I'm 5'5" 115 lbs and the small fits well. A little roomy but not much. It's really soft but not very thick. Feels more like a spring/early fall hoodie. For that reason I'm keeping it.
I ordered this during a huge sale, as a backup hoody. My other hoody is a generic but comfortable fleece from Kohls, that I know I paid less for. The Adidas one is just as comfortable, and the fit is great for my 6ft 170lb frame (I ordered a medium). It's a tad long, but I like that because it keeps it from riding. Anyway I've had it for a few weeks now, and it's been through the wash once and worn nearly daily. The material isn't very thick and the weave isn't tight because the fabric started pilling after 1 wash. Remember the hoody I mentioned earlier? It's also a fleece made from 100% polyester, and it looks nearly new despite missing it's drawstring. It's been in the wash a bazillion times. And as for the warmth? It's definitely a lighter weight jacket like some others have mentioned. Anyway this is just a cool looking hoody but definitely not the ultimate. If you want it to look great for a long time my advice is- don't wear it much.
This jacket is my favorite purchase in a long time. I loved it so much that I got two, in different colors. The only reason that I've knocked a star off is that you really have to try these jackets on first if possible. One of the jackets that I have fits perfectly, with a little room, while the other is super tight. I double checked to make sure that I got the same size in both, and I did, but they're obviously all cut a little different.
As with all Climawarm product, this hoodie offers a great deal of warmth with very little bulk. This piece is very tightly woven, so it's quite wind resistant, while the brushed interior is really comfy. The smooth fabric along with a "snugger than usual fit" make this a versatile piece, and one that's particularly suited to layering. Note: just about any XXL top in the Adidas world fits me just fine (I'm 6'2", 230), but this is a slim fit item. Body and sleeve lengths are fine ,but it clings.
