First off, this is a great retro release. It's very accurate to the original and it's made with high quality leather. However, there's one thing about the US release that disappointed me. The style pictured in the Stan Smith Returns ads and marketing is actually the UK/international "vintage" release, which is even closer to the original than this modified US version. It also used higher quality materials. I'm a bit disappointed that adidas advertised one model in the US, then released something completely different. Other than that, they are classic and comfortable.
Great looks and comfort, I'm a us 12.5 to 13 but purchased a size 11.5 so yeah they run big. It's like a second sock on, while the sole is a little hard at first but once warn in its all good ! If you are some one who likes the new adidas yeezy but can afford one then is is second best. If you have not seen the tubular soles then your in for a treat they represent a bike tube which is really unique and why I love them.the new look of the shoe is much better then the older model its much more lightweight which is crazy because the last model was light as well these new primeknits are crazy ,amazing, little big, simple, comfortable and great for summer !
I noticed with Adidas pants that you should always go a size smaller than what you are. i bought these in a medium with hopes that they would fit me like they do the guy in the picture. but unfortunately they do not. i'm about 5'7-5'8 with a 31-32 waist size and i sent them back in for a small and tried them on an they fit just like the picture. i have bought other Adidas pants and have noticed the same as well. but overall they are nice sweats and i would recommend purchasing.
I bought a pair of these in February, & I've hardly taken them off since. They've become my "thing" among my friends. I purchased the classic white & black, & despite the gold details, they go great with everything. They were extremely comfortable from the first time I put them on. They didn't require any breaking in. The fit was great, other than that I had to lace up the very top hole & I have to retie them throughout the day to keep my heel from slipping out when I walk. This is probably because I wear a women's 8.5/9 & this is a men's shoe, however. They breathe well & my feet don't get too hot wearing them. Really comfortable to walk around in all day. I'm looking forward to buying more in the future!
I remember the young salesman in the Wilshire store so may pairs ago looking at me sincerely and exclaiming: "You know, these aren't good for anything anymore!" I guess he was right, they aren't for running, or sprinting, fencing, soccer, or even competitive tennis anymore. They are extremely comfortable, true to size, great for walking around and are acceptable casual shoes where other sports shoes might be frowned on. Stan Smiths have classic style and comfort. I guess that still makes them good for something.
I was lucky enough to purchase the OTHER Stan Smith floating around out there, the classic one with the stitched tongue and higher-quality materials all the way around. And I will say that it is an amazing shoe, classic style, incredibly comfortable, and simply beautiful on foot. If you can get your hands on the stitched-tongue style as opposed to the padded tongue you will not be disappointed. In a side-by-side comparison, the padded-tongue style available in the US just feels cheaper and a lower quality.
I'm usually a UK 9 but ordered a UK 9.5 for these and they're perfect! So maybe try go up 1/2 a size or a full size up. Other than that shoes are amazing. Material is perfect. Very Comfortable shoes. Delivery was very fast for standard delivery. Find it much easier and cheaper to order from here then go to a local shop even though it would be faster.
There comes a time in each life when you realize that trendy means classic. That's what we have in this shoe both in style and utility. The shoe looks great from every angle. Even judging against my previous Addidas shoes, this one is the most comfortable for every day wear. The sole grips well and shields you from all those pebbles or other inconsistencies you may encounter on the street or in the mall. The arch is supportive and there is very little movement of the shoe while on your foot. The fit and trim are excellent. Complaint - only one, and it's terribly minor. The tongue could be a little wider at the ankle, but at least the tongue is of a thickness that is appropriate, unlike others I have worn.
I usually wear 11s and ordered these in that size. There's some room in the toe buy they still fit well. Other than that, the shoes are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Very good looking too.
I love these shoes, these would be my third pair -- so I felt confident buying online. I looked at my old pair and purchased the sizing accordingly. But what arrived was the mens sizing. I thought these shoes were sized unisex and I ordered them while in the women's section. A bit confusing and annoying but I will try again once my refund comes through.
These have to be the nicest looking pair of trainers out there in my opinion. Adidas' attention to simple, sleek timeless classic designs with no over the top details, is a winner for me. It's products like this that set Adidas above Nike as a premium sportswear brand but with one eye firmly on fashion.
I really wanted to give my Adidas Gazelles a high rating, I really did, but something odd has happened with Adidas over the past few years. Every pair of shoes that I own are 45s (10 1/2)...every pair, which includes a pair of Gazelles bought 4 or 5 years ago (made in China) that fit perfectly. Unquestionably, 45 is my shoe size. However, recent purchases from Adidas have been painfully small….literally. I bought a pair of Gazelles a couple of years ago (made in Vietnam), but after I squeezed my feet in to them, I realised that they were far too small and I slung them in to the darkest corner at the back of the wardrobe. I was hoping that this was an anomaly, but my latest attempt at buying a pair of Gazelles from the online store found that these were also too small and had to be returned...45s, it seems, are no longer 45s in Adidas World. I love Adidas Gazelles, but it's a waste of time buying them from the Adidas online store. Better to visit one of their retail stores and try a pair a size or two up.
As there was no female model (I use 8), I bought male in size 6 1/2 (I decided for this size after a email with this recommendation from Adidas). I bought these tennis to use everyday! It's sturdy and very hip! I'm in love with this shoes.
I love these shoes. These shoes are very comfortable and they offer great support for walking around and even running, the one disappointing thing is that with most running shoes they offer a sort of bounce when running that these shoes don't but by not doing it build up your leg strength so there's a positive and negative side. Definitely recommend, worth the price, look great, will wear for a while. I ordered a size up because I have a tad wider feet.
I'm in utter shock what's going on here. Here I am, an Adidas fan of the prior bounce and new boost lineup, finding it hard to believe that the runner is the best pair I've worn so far. I've invested +$100 in the boost technology one year ago and wore it devotionally; I thought it was the god of all running shoes, but dang did it come at a cost. But then I stumbled upon these, thinking that id wear it for casual wear and style. One day I forgot my boosts at home, so I decided to test these out at the gym. It did me wonders. Comfortable, great absorption at the heel, amazing. Man, did I put other runners to shame when I silently ran past them while they stomp the track. So here I am, again, questioning how these $75 dollar shoes managed to surpass my expectations and match up to the legendary boost technology. Few trivial concerns: annoying crease line at the back of the shoe, every time I sit down and sprawl out my legs I feel the crease line nudging my heel; I'm used to Adidas' usual tight fit but this one runs a little bigger; can feel it slip a little off when I did calf raises, perhaps because it ran a little bigger and the mouth of the shoe has a stretch-like material.
