The shoes are extremely comfy and have good ankle support. The only problem is that you should never use these for outdoor playing, the sole is not very durable. It is just a shame that these could have been the jwall 3.
Overall this is a great shoe - I would recommend it and it feels and looks like a premium shoe. Buy if you want a high quality shoe with great traction, good impact protection and support. Avoid if you want something minimal and light or hate having your toes bang against the forefoot. Here is my breakdown: Comfort - between the neoprine ankle collar, boost cushion and Primeknit they are quite comfortable. Traction - best I have tried! Works well on clean or dusty floors, minimal wiping need to keep the outsole sticky (I have the solid outsole shoe though - the translucent may attract some more dust). Fit - a bit narrow and long - if you have a wider foot the Primeknit is a better option but I would try in the store. Lockdown - heel lockdown is fine but I find my foot sliding forward in the shoe. Thus, I end up banging my toes on the front of the shoe at times and it would have been nice if the inner shoe had more padding there or if my foot was just locked in better in the mid and forefoot. In the defense of the shoe, I think any shoe with traction this good will probably cause your foot to shift inside the shoe. Support - A good deal of support around the heel plus a raised section of the outsole on the outer portion of the forefoot keeps your foot for tipping over or moving much laterally. Cushion - Fantastic in the heel area - great impact protection without being too soft. The boost thins out a lot in the forefoot and they use a hard stobel piece in between the boost in the insole so the forefoot cushion is pretty firm and responsive - I would have preferred the forefoot to be softer but it still has some compression to absorb impact. Looks - they look great, can wear them on and off the court no problem. Durability/Quality - I haven't had them for long so I can't say for sure but the build quality seems quite high (the outsole rubber does not seem meant for outdoor play though). There is also some coverage on top of the Primeknit on the outside of the medial toe to keep the material from ripping if you drag your toes. Other thoughts - the shoe is pretty heavy and you notice it on your foot so I would think some might find it bulky feeling.
Best basketball shoe I've worn to date. I usually go for a shoe that supports the ankle as well as overall comfort . I got a size bigger than what I normally wear and it feels great. Not too big or too wide which was something I was afraid of getting a bigger size.
The product is super comfortable due to the new addition of boost, and the tubular mixed with it really makes them feel great. Not as comfortable as ultraboosts because there isn't that much boost towards the front of the shoe but it is enough for great comfort. The leather used on these shoes are premium and wonderful and looks great with any outfit. Does include awsome reflective laces to top it all off.
Ordered this product however 2 days later got my hands on a pair of Adidas NMD CS1 which were far more comfortable than this pair. Would still recommend to anyone only slight issue is the heel feels very wide half size down might be useful.
I've been having lots of problems with basketball shoes lately (support, traction, comfort, style, etc) and these shoes FIX THEM ALL. Best shoe purchase ever. One caveat: half sizes stop at 11.5. I really, really want a 12.5, because the 12 is just too small, causing me some pain, and 13 is simply too big. Who agrees, 12.5 is needed?
Ordered a 10.5 but was really tight so returned with no problems. Ordering an 11 and expect them to be perfect. Looked very very well made of high quality materials. Gutted I have to wait again for the new pair.
I agree with the other reviewer, these are not true to size. I own 5 pairs of Adidas shoes and they are all 9.5, but these arrived as a Christmas present and were surprisingly small. I would recommend ordering a minimum of a half size up.
It does the job making powerlifting, especially squatting, more comfortable. Having a stable platform is beneficial for almost any weightlifting exercise. Just don't try running in these. The size was a bit too small, since I always wear 42EU but these were just a bit too short in length. You may consider ordering 1/2 size larger than what you normally wear, but take note that these shoes are supposed to be tight.
The quality of this shoe is amazing. They leather is great and you can see the amazing width. There's a problem with size though. The shoe is just a little too big, longer than true sizing, but I wouldn't reccomend going half a size down because they are quite narrow. So I have a shoe that is slightly too big but if I went any smaller i might find them uncomfortably tight. I am female and always wear 7.5 mens. If you are male and know yourself to have wide feet this shoe might not be for you.
I'm a die hard Nike fanatic, ever since I had started to use them I was hooked. Bought every kobe for the last couple of years . But I have noticed a serious decline in quality In the sneakers. I saw these a couple of months back and I love A Wigg so I picked them up as a novelty and as a get my feet wet experience with boost. It was the first time I played in an adidas shoe since the standard was using adiprene coushioning which I hated. May I say not only did this shoe beat all expectations and all of the good stuff I read on it but it made me a adidas costumer for life!!!!! Wow like what can I even say about this shoe that the add does not say . I have never had a more responsive , cushioned , form fitting , super comfortable shoe in my life! I will admit the aesthetics of the shoe are a bit....rustic but asides from the looks this bad boy is a hog . They were so great I bought my older father a pair; oh and he loves them too calls them the best shoe he's ever owned . This blows Nike out of the water and it absolutely crushed all the zoom units I once knew and loved , absolutely destroys any and all flyknit kicks and even tops my kobe 10; adidas, basketball shoes , you are doing it right. These are out of this world .
I bought the pro model white sneakers as a present for my boyfriend, and he absolutely loved the old school hip hop style, but with a modern twist. The sneakers have a really great design, like an animal print-though all white it makes it stand out more than the regular plain all white pro-model sneakers.
one of the best shoes for lifting, the only minus point here for me is the toes part, its not really comfortable, kinda narrow there, this make u need to fix your size up to about 1/2. except this trait, the others are perfect. nothing to complain, and ofc its much nicer and better than pwl 2.0. Another one is the actual is nicer than the shoes in online picture. they are good shoes with this price for me.
good looking shoe, they also look different in person but not bad. I thought they would've been a little bit more snug fit, seem a little wide. on a comfort level i wouldn't suggest no one wearing for a long period of time, the you can feel the grooves in bottom of shoe after while.
Brilliantly stable, sticky and solid. Squats felt horrific at first as the improved posture meant I activated new muscles! But with a bit of coaching (recommend to speak to someone who has used them beforehand and get some tips), they felt great. More stable and more powerful than ever with better form, explosiveness and form. They aren't the prettiest, but do just as good a job for a beginner/intermediate as a £150+ pair would. Would definitely buy again!
The fit is amazing, but I recommend longer socks because the edge hurts your shin a little at first. It goes away, but don't let that disconcern you when you recieve these. Also, they look GREAT. They are very comfortable and I would recommend these to all of my friends.
Copped these as an intro to Boost - overall I'm impressed. The leather quality seems good, the laces are super reflective, and they're very comfortable. I have a Tubular Xs & Dooms, but these are probably my favorite of the three.
Yes the shoe is among the best, even at this price point. Great traction. Ankle support is there without being too restrictive. Full length boost with decent court feel. But I have a HUGE gripe: I cannot get proper lock down with the Xeno upper because the laces do not grip the material. I tighten the laces and shoe immediately goes loose when released to go to the next eyelets instead of staying tight. It's very frustrating because the shoe is already on the bulky side, as a result there's movement in the toe box and mid foot. Extremely disappointed in the purchase. If you plan on playing aggressively, skip the xeno and get the primeknit...or you'll need another set of hands to lace up.
Even nicer in person. Light weight and super comfy. The pattern is major eye catcher. Was a little hesistant at first not sure if I'd still like them when I got them but they're amazing. Really glad I got them. They do run a tad big but didn't feel like it was that big of an issue. Only wore them for like 3 hours and got a ton of compliments on them.
An absolute brilliant choice for a lifting shoe. Price is great compared to other choices, they look great and whilst they may not have as much heel height as others the difference is negligible for those of us who are not powerlifters. Seem to narrow at the toe box and with wide feet I had to exchange for a half size larger but process was free and painless
