Possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet, whether for basketball or not. Boost is awesome but unfortunately they come with a tissue paper thin insole. And seeing as how the cushion thins out at the ball of the foot, I recommend putting a thicker one in if you decide to buy. Biggest problem however is the traction. Initially it's incredible, not very squeaky but the pattern makes it incredible nonetheless. But then after about three weeks of strictly indoor play it starts to fray and goes downhill fast. Now I can pretty much expect to slide. Hopefully there'll be a version in the future with a more durable traction but until then it's not worth $150.
Although the traction grooves were shallow, the patten held up and worker fine. Full length boost is the best cushion setup around, and is a bit bouncier than the CL Boost 2016 boost. The primeknit is stretchy and comfortable, with no glue getting in the way. The fit and support is very good, due to the good lacing system and interior features of the shoe.
Great shoe, but I had a major problem. The shoe gave me a horrible cut/blister near my ankle from the inner padding. Was bothering me while playing but not too bad. But after the cut was to painful for me to walk around comfortably for a few days. Everything else about the shoe is PERFECT. Materials are awesome. Cushion is the best ever. My knees felt like I hadn't even played. However, the blister I got was so bad I never tried them again and will be returning them. Shame, might just be an issue with me and my foot, but personally it was still an issue. Maybe just bad luck.
I have gotten the D Rose 7 Multi-Color about a week ago. Great shoe, the design is uniquely Adidas. A bit narrow though for my foot, as I heard. So, when I bought them, I got .5 bigger, size 13.5. Got extra space for my big toe, but was still narrow and a bit tight around my foot. Feels comfortable on the court, haven't played a full court performance game yet, but just running and shooting. Cushion in shoe gives the boost in leaping ability, and no pain in take off. Make sure to wear right performance socks with this shoe. Grip of shoe on court still needs a bit work like all the other D Roses, but still good. Can't wait to see Derrick Rose play in them this NBA season on the Knicks.
The best shoe of the year, hands down. Everything is just great from cushion, fit, lock down, support, and traction. It would be perfect if Adidas make a low top Drose signature like they did with the 2s and 3s.
the boost is amazing, it provides great cushion and feels great while not lacking in court feel. The traction is the best I've used, I've played in the curry 2, kyrie 2, Kobe 9, and the Jordan 28 to put in perspective. It's beastly. It won't last on out door courts tho. The fit is just right and I recommend going true to size. There is just a little dead space by the toe in true to size and if you don't like that go down half a size but it's not a problem at all. Lockdown and support is amazing (it's made for d rose come on it has to be to protect those glass ankles. Overall it's a great show and I'm calling it this early it's the best shoe for the 2016-2017 basketball season I love it.
so far the most comfy shoes in 2016. traction and cusion are both fantastic, also the upper material - prime knitt is very comfy. compared to crazy light boost 2016, I prefer crazy explosive much much more. The only thing I recommend is to improve how it looks. keep the good work, adidas.
Got these kicks in the Andrew Wiggins Timberwolves home colorway at footlocker for $80. It was perfect in my opinion. The boost in the heel was very comfortable and the adiprene+ was decent as well to give enough cushioning to feel comfortable wearing them for hours on end but not sacrificing court feel. The primeknit upper and mesh lower is also top quality. The traction is excellent and you stop very hard and don't have to wipe too much. Just don't take these outside. The only problem that you may encounter is the fit and lockdown. The fit feels a little uncomfortable when you first play in these, but after a few days you get used to it. You just don't feel as locked down and secure as other shoes, but it's not the worst lockdown I've had in a shoe. It just didn't match the high grade of the other aspects of this crazylight model. Overall, these are a solid shoe to hoop in and you should definitely try them out.
This is my 5th pair of basketball boost and these are the cushiest yet. The primeknit doesn't have a glue support backing so they hug your feet. The heel boost offers some of the best cushion I've ever felt. The forefoot boost is bouncy but firm enough that you don't sacrifice courtfeel. These fit true to size so you don't have to guess like other models. I'm wide footed and had no problem. The highest lace-loop needs a little trial and error because there isn't much tongue between the laces and the front of your ankle so it can feel a little restrictive.
They are great shoes! However, a more varied color choice would be appreciated. The shoes couldn't be better but the I think the lack of color choices or a "customize" option really hurts the product.
I read how everyone noted that this shoe runs big in size...I like a little extra room so I can put in my orthotics so that was not a problem for me...I think these shoes will make it on the court this summer...the red 3 sinks in....I'm still wondering if the James Harden signature shoe next season will b a high top...these are low and I prefer high but I really like these...
I was excited to order the James Harden All Star color way when it first came out. I ordered my usual size 13. When I got the shoes it looked like a 14 or 15 the shoe was huge. But by the time I received my pair the shoe was sold out besides sizes 9 and 9.5 I usually wear size 13 with this shoe I could have used a size 12 or even 11.5 I thought it was very weird. I double checked to make sure the shoe wasn't a 14 or bigger but the box and shoe tag says 13. If you can try and try them on before you buy them.
I bought this product right before my start of the year basketball tournament and arrived the day before. This is a great product for players like me who dive for the ball and play tough at the post. It wasn't heavy or restricting, but I do recommend going a size up so you don't have trouble pulling them up. Only thing that could've been better was the durability. When I dove once the padded part wasn't entirely on my knee so the floor caught the side of it and tore a small hole by the pad. Overall would recommend this to any physical player!
I recently bought this jersey when I was in Vegas this month. Feel in love when. I first saw it! The style was nice and had sleeves! The quality and fabric is great and light weight! I'm happy to finally have one of my own :)
These knee pads stay in place even after playing 3 straight games in a hot gym no tugging and repositioning after every trip down the court. Worn other brands that do not match up with these, only wish they came in Navy!
The texture and fit are nice just to bully, I will say o was looking to use them for socccer, ha. But they would be nice if I played volleyball, but as for basketball would ask for a little shape, and sleeker design
If you plan on buying these then I advise you to order a size up then what you initially think, and also order another one two sizes up (return shipping is free). The sizes are all over the place. I am about a 15" (5'11, 176lb) calf but the large was very tight. Then I ordered a XL and it's still pretty tight. Would've loved to try out the XXL but I need these for a game pretty soon and don't think I'll receive the other pair in time. Other than the grip on the sizing it seems to offer a good amount of protection and the pads flex to your movements.
They look nice but the quality is a joke. They might offer some minimal protection you if you bump knees with an opponent but if you ever go down and or slide at all on the floor they will not protect you at all.
My 14yo player has wanted these for awhile. They are hard to find - happy to find the Adidas direct store. He likes them a lot, the size small fits a 100lb kid well. Did not realize only 1 came in the package when ordered from our reg online sports store. Then they out of stock there again. Adidas store had the other one we needed at the same price. Happy with them so far.
I have torn my meniscus in both knees and after wearing these pads they feel great. I wear these over other knee pads and they give me great support. I'm not recommending wearing these pads alone if you have knee problems but they do feel comfortable. They run small. I'm usually an xl but these I had to get 2xl.
I ordered two Large Black adidas Techfit adiPower Padded Leg Sleeves and I'll be ordering more. Since I needed a padded knee sleeve for both my knees, these do more than a good job. I torn the ACL in my right knee 10 years ago and these Padded Leg Sleeves give me the compression support, as well as, the protection from the padding to play basketball everyday. After playing with these padded knee sleeves for hours the pain in both knees has been reduced by at least 80% in the hours after taking them off. On top of these good qualities, the Graphic Knee Pads are an officially licensed product of the NBA and worn by Derrick Rose and many other NBA players around the league. The fit is great, with minimal sliding down your thigh and calf. Just make sure you wash them on delicate cycle in the washer and hang dry after so they last. 5-stars across the board and a must buy for anyone that plays basketball and other sports as well.
Great knee pads for basketball. They fit tight and just right. I went with a large just to be sure my calf is about 13 3/4 inches. Im 5'9 and they fit good. I just wished they were solid black but thats besides the performance.
This is a great knee pad. Great for basketball and athletic activities. Its very durable and comfortable. I bought these because my McDavid knee sleeves had holes and didn't look good :(( These are great and the real deal! so happy i bought these. I am a point guard for aau and travel so I have a lot of pressure in my knees so these helped a lot :) Great buy folks
DURABILITY & PERFORMANCE: My son has wore these to practice and games for a few months now and even took a very hard fall once and these have held up to the wear and tear. They haven't ripped and the foam hasn't come loose. PROTECTION: Overall they provide good protection, but for those very rare but very hard falls onto a hard surface it won't provide 100% protection. Despite wearing these knee pads, my son still got a big bump on his knee after that very hard fall. Thank goodness he was wearing knee pads or he would've had much more damage. FIT: We went according to the size chart and the fit was accurate. COMFORT: My son says these are very comfortable and do not restrict his movement. The fabric is very light weight but durable. In summary, this is by far the most durable and comfortable knee pad my son has tried. I would highly recommend these knee pads and plan on purchasing 2 more pairs for my daughter.
As someone who has had reconstructive knee surgery, I am looking for anything that offers support and protection without being cumbersome. While these are not a substitute for my brace, they provide a high level of support, protection and compression. When used in conjunction with my brace, I feel totally protected. If you have had knee problems or are just looking for lightweight padding and support, I highly recommend this sleeve!
