Really love the Pioneer colorway. I tried it on at adidas store and instantly bought it. It looked great and felt great. Much better looking in person. The hot colorway of the NMDs were sold out too quick before I had chance and I liked wearing basketball shoes anyway ... read more

Most Comfortable Adidas B-Ball Shoe Yet

The shoes are extremely comfy and have good ankle support. The only problem is that you should never use these for outdoor playing, the sole is not very durable. It is just a shame that these could have been the jwall 3. ... read more

Best Guard shoe for 2016/2017. Jack of all trades for the Guard shoe selection.

Really Good, if you have it, you can tell Harden put effort and time into designing into this shoe. Traction loses it in about 3-5 plays but a single wipe gets it back in the game. I'm pretty sure cushion is a good point in this shoe since it's a Low. Most Low don't have great cushion, but this one seems to do the job. Fit was so surprising to me. Fits well for wide footers. Narrower footers beware though, I went true to size. Lockdown is very good, these shoe won't fly in the air. Looks are fire. Feels heavy in the hand but I didn't mind it at all on my foot. Some notes on durability: This shoe so far doesn't have major problems, breaking in takes some days. If you hit the three stripes on the back of the shoe on something hard, it will scrap easy, so if you want it to look good and untouch, beware of that. Otherwise, I would say best Guard shoe to buy for 2016/2017. Hopefully Harden's next shoes will be just as good as the Harden 1. ... read more

Best traction ever - a bit heavy/bulky but a great sneaker for on or off the court.

Overall this is a great shoe - I would recommend it and it feels and looks like a premium shoe. Buy if you want a high quality shoe with great traction, good impact protection and support. Avoid if you want something minimal and light or hate having your toes bang against the forefoot. Here is my breakdown: Comfort - between the neoprine ankle collar, boost cushion and Primeknit they are quite comfortable. Traction - best I have tried! Works well on clean or dusty floors, minimal wiping need to keep the outsole sticky (I have the solid outsole shoe though - the translucent may attract some more dust). Fit - a bit narrow and long - if you have a wider foot the Primeknit is a better option but I would try in the store. Lockdown - heel lockdown is fine but I find my foot sliding forward in the shoe. Thus, I end up banging my toes on the front of the shoe at times and it would have been nice if the inner shoe had more padding there or if my foot was just locked in better in the mid and forefoot. In the defense of the shoe, I think any shoe with traction this good will probably cause your foot to shift inside the shoe. Support - A good deal of support around the heel plus a raised section of the outsole on the outer portion of the forefoot keeps your foot for tipping over or moving much laterally. Cushion - Fantastic in the heel area - great impact protection without being too soft. The boost thins out a lot in the forefoot and they use a hard stobel piece in between the boost in the insole so the forefoot cushion is pretty firm and responsive - I would have preferred the forefoot to be softer but it still has some compression to absorb impact. Looks - they look great, can wear them on and off the court no problem. Durability/Quality - I haven't had them for long so I can't say for sure but the build quality seems quite high (the outsole rubber does not seem meant for outdoor play though). There is also some coverage on top of the Primeknit on the outside of the medial toe to keep the material from ripping if you drag your toes. Other thoughts - the shoe is pretty heavy and you notice it on your foot so I would think some might find it bulky feeling. ... read more

D Rose 7 for Shoe MVP

Best basketball shoe I've worn to date. I usually go for a shoe that supports the ankle as well as overall comfort . I got a size bigger than what I normally wear and it feels great. Not too big or too wide which was something I was afraid of getting a bigger size. ... read more

Godsend shoe, but needs 12.5!!!

I've been having lots of problems with basketball shoes lately (support, traction, comfort, style, etc) and these shoes FIX THEM ALL. Best shoe purchase ever. One caveat: half sizes stop at 11.5. I really, really want a 12.5, because the 12 is just too small, causing me some pain, and 13 is simply too big. Who agrees, 12.5 is needed? ... read more

The king of all ball shoes

I'm a die hard Nike fanatic, ever since I had started to use them I was hooked. Bought every kobe for the last couple of years . But I have noticed a serious decline in quality In the sneakers. I saw these a couple of months back and I love A Wigg so I picked them up as a novelty and as a get my feet wet experience with boost. It was the first time I played in an adidas shoe since the standard was using adiprene coushioning which I hated. May I say not only did this shoe beat all expectations and all of the good stuff I read on it but it made me a adidas costumer for life!!!!! Wow like what can I even say about this shoe that the add does not say . I have never had a more responsive , cushioned , form fitting , super comfortable shoe in my life! I will admit the aesthetics of the shoe are a bit....rustic but asides from the looks this bad boy is a hog . They were so great I bought my older father a pair; oh and he loves them too calls them the best shoe he's ever owned . This blows Nike out of the water and it absolutely crushed all the zoom units I once knew and loved , absolutely destroys any and all flyknit kicks and even tops my kobe 10; adidas, basketball shoes , you are doing it right. These are out of this world . ... read more

Pretty Good First Basketball Shoe

Comfortable, Good to hoop in, supports bigger feet (In width), Overall the look and the feel are a lot better than what I was expecting. Great traction, great cushion, great upper (once broken in). Looks awesome. Great buy.

Credit to adidas for finding new ways to use boost and give people a different feel in their kicks. Harden vol. 1's are less mushy in the heel and with the boost only exposed on the lateral side near the ball of your foot, you get a really comfortable almost bouncy feel right under the ball of your foot. Upper is really nice but does need to be broken in, but it's well worth it as this is a fantastic low top trainer. ... read more

Dope Colourway!

At 1st I told myself that I was just going to purchase 1 pair of Harden Vol.1's & I copped the "Imma Be a Star's". It was a tough choice picking between the 2 versions. Once I received them I was so impressed that I had to get the "Away" Colourway too (so much for getting 1 pair lol). There's absolutely nothing I would change about this shoe. Aesthetically it looks dope, fits like a glove & on the performance end it's all thumbs up! Traction is great, cushioning is great & my feet feel well contained. As I said before, the 3 stripe brand is killing it this year R.I.P. other brands!! ... read more

Best pair of kicks for hoops I've owned in years

Been loving these for ball, something I haven't said about a pair of hoops kicks for years. For me they work great in my sneaker TTS which usually runs half a size larger than what I wear for dress shoes. My feet are semi-wide, so the extra toe box room for me is awesome compared to other shoes I've balled in where they traditionally run more narrow. The best thing I love about the shoe is how stable it is. It also has a great combination and balance of impact protection, and court feel. Usually you get too much of one or the other, so this really does the trick perfectly for me. My only complaint are about the laces. I think going with a flat lace setup would make these easier to lace up and tighten overall. ... read more

Buyer beware (Xeno)

Yes the shoe is among the best, even at this price point. Great traction. Ankle support is there without being too restrictive. Full length boost with decent court feel. But I have a HUGE gripe: I cannot get proper lock down with the Xeno upper because the laces do not grip the material. I tighten the laces and shoe immediately goes loose when released to go to the next eyelets instead of staying tight. It's very frustrating because the shoe is already on the bulky side, as a result there's movement in the toe box and mid foot. Extremely disappointed in the purchase. If you plan on playing aggressively, skip the xeno and get the primeknit...or you'll need another set of hands to lace up. ... read more

Looks nice off the court too

Took an L on the yeezys so I copped these as a consolation prize...safe to say I'm not disappointed. Boost cushioning is thinner than the ultra boost but it is still really responsive and comfortable. The Xeno hit on the back is SICK! Super reflective. Overall, this shoe is really dope, and might be one of my favorite pickups of 2016. I say go true to size on this pair, but you could be different. Only complaint is that something in the tongue area squeaks a little when I walk. Not a big deal and will probably go away when I break them in more, but just something to know. ... read more

Good color options

Just put them on and they feel like I've already broken them in! Very comfortable. Looking forward to getting to the court. I chose the black on black with the red trim. #Boostislife

If you haven't played in any full length boost yet, this is by far the thinnest set up. It's not bad by any means, as this will provide Court feel and impact protection. You know what they say #boostislife. As for the sizing, narrow footers highly recommend going .5 size down, as they fit quite long. But if you can't try these instores just go with your regular size just to be safe. I went with .5 size down and they fit likey normal size. Traction wise expect a lot of wipings in a dusty court, (that goes for any shoe) the traction was designed after hardens foot map. Although not everyone plays like Harden. The traction is still solid. Overall I've put in a lot of hours in these shoes and would reccomend it, the shoe it self is a guard to forward orientated shoe. ... read more

Solid pair of shoes

It is comfortable and has good traction. I don't know if it is because they are new, but when I run in them they will sometimes squeak and there will be a slight popping sound by the toes. Also I ordered these a half size smaller than my original shoes, but they are pretty much the same size, so I recommend getting a smaller pair than normal. Good shoe overall. ... read more

Another really really strong Hoop Shoe from Adidas.

Really enjoying the Harden Volume 1s, they look really smart for playing ball or casual wear, they have a great build quality, great materials used throughout, lovely and padded at the heel and ankle, full length boost is awesome as always but it doesn't sacrifice court feel, but still gives that boost impact protection #boostislife the leather toecap is genius, added protection and it is real premium quality leather, I thought the lockdown was very good, no heel slippage for me, the way the lacing is set up it really pulls your foot into the shoe, takes a little breaking in but not to much and it's never uncomfortable, but after a few wears it really is amazing comfort, traction is amazing as all Adidas shoes have been recently, really sticky/tacky rubber that sticks to the floor for those quick cuts. Another winning shoe from Adidas, they really are on top of their game right now, you take any Adidas model hoop sneaker and you won't be dissapointed, personally I love them all and will continue to purchase various colours of upcoming shoes. Amazing as always Adidas, well done!! ... read more

New favorite shoes.

First of all, it's a beautiful shoe. Up close, it is better than you ever thought it would be. The Boost on these make it feel like your bouncing on a trampline. They lace up as tight as you want without hurting your feet. And the grip on these is terrific. Once you break them in, they feel like an extension of your feet. ... read more

Great basketball shoe, can't go wrong

Traction- A1, no slipping at all Support- A1, locked in, best support I've experienced in a shoe Size- runs a little large, some may want to go down half a size Cushion- can definitely feel the boost in the heal, not so much the forefoot. If you have bad knees, I suggest you look at the crazy explosive. Otherwise it has just enough impact protection. Material- materials on outside seem stiff, but you can't tell when wearing them because there is so much cushion on the inside. The toe cap is leather which is awesome too, nice to finally get real leather on a shoe. Overall? Best shoe for guards, bigger guys may want to look elsewhere for a more cushioned ride. My favorite Adidas basketball shoe so far, and as they say, boost is life! ... read more

Three Stripes jumped over the Swoosh...

Great cushioning and stability. Considering they kept the Ultra Boost like cushioning it was stable on the court. Traction was excellent too, I just wore it once but we'll see if it holds up. But most definitely this is the shoe you need to get if you ball, regardless if it's on a professional or recreational level. I might just totally drop the Swoosh and Jumpman if adidas keeps exceeding expectations! ;) ... read more
