I've bought several Ultimate and Clima Ultimate T shirts over the past several years. The Size Large Ultimate T shirts produced a few years ago fit perfectly. All of the Clima Ultimate T shirts in size Large, while long enough, are tight across my shoulders and chest. Although finding that mildly annoying, I kept the Clima Ultimate T shirts while attributing the difference in fit to their being a slightly different style from the Ultimate T shirts. Ultimate T shirts I bought a few months ago fit well, however, those I purchased just a few weeks ago run small like the Clima Ultimate shirts. Why is there such inconsistency in the sizing of these shirts?
I'am 5 45, 160lbs. I usually wear slim-fit medium shirts and pants from both adidas performance, and originals. If you want a slim-fit/muscle-fit, buy a small size, which is what I did and still comfortable. But if you want some more room and does not care about the shape of your body, but a medium.
first of all, this "jacket" looks very sharp and expensive. It also has those little holes for the thumbs to keep it rolling up. People will look! Although they have a front pocket to stash your iPod/phone in it, there is no hole for the wire - WHOOPS! I bought it one size smaller (I usually wear XL but i bought L) and it fits PERFECT. It is not for "heavy" cold or snow, but for the mild cold we have in Greece its perfect.
I bought an "Ultimate Tee" at a retail store. The small was a bit tight for a general workout shirt, so I got a medium. Perfect! So perfect that I immediately bought 5 more online. When the new ones arrived, they were not so ultimate... the sleeve cut had changed (raglan sleeve, not inset like the one I had already) and the shirt was quite a bit longer. The neck ribbing was also a little thicker and cheaper looking. Bummed out they tried to improve on perfection. The new fit is a bit sloppy. Still a good workout shirt though. Go with dark colors if you plan to sweat a lot - you'll look like a sweaty mess otherwise.
Comes up slightly tight on me (when compared to shirts of the same size) but that's given that the top is intended for training. It looks great in black and has a bright contrast seam on the inside. Hand pockets don't zip. Zips are the stiff waterproof style ones, so not easy to open on the run (if you do that sort of thing).
The daybreaker is great for winter as its nice and lightweight and it keeps me really warm. With three pockets there is plenty of storage and I love the fit design of the hood. I wear the daybreaker to and from training and have found it holds up pretty well in the rain too. I normally wear a medium however i found the medium to be quite short around the waist and so i went for the large.
I've used mine for a while now and its pretty good. Material quality is very good, no itching or rubbing so far. I am 5.8" and size small fit is decent, but I wish it to be just a bit shorter in sleeve and hem length.
Great tech hoodie for runs and just wearing around casually as a stand alone piece early mornings or at night during fall/spring. Thumbholes are sometimes a bit of a nuissance but otherwise the hoddie fits great and washes easily. The midnight colour definitely stands out! Fit is true to size.
The not so soft Climalite fabric is nearly see through. They are for fitting, and lay nice. However, I am 6'1" and they come down past my butt. Also, the bottom hem is very snug. This may help them stay tucked in, but I don't care for it. The material is not as soft as I would have hoped. This may be due to whatever Climalite treatment they have. I am hoping they soften after a few washings. I may replace these soon with a premium brand.
Before I make a purchase on something I always read reviews. I think there is no better way of finding out about a product, than from the ones who have already purchased and used it. My husband has always been very picky when it comes to short sleeves. Thanks to Adidas, I have found him the perfect one. He said the most comfortable fitting shirt he has had. The great thing about this shirt, is the sleeves. No seam across the shoulder. My husband loves this shirt so much that I'm going to get him one of every color that he likes. He wears a large, but the x-large works great. So to all that complain about the shirt being to snug, go up one size, you'll be happy you did. I turn the shirt inside out when I wash it, and hang to dry. Looks great! Can't go wrong when buying Adidas!!!
I have had bunch of the Ultimate Ts in the past. The feel of this is not quite as soft as previous versions. For a few extra dollars, I think upgrading to the Aeroknit is worth it. If you want to stick w a basic T, this is still a pretty good choice.
Really good tank, but length is inconsistent. You'll buy 2 packs today and wait 2 week and buy another few packs and the length size differs very noticeably and it a honestly an extreme inconvenience not knowing what ur gettin. At times its really bad and an extreme inconvenience. I prefer my tanks long due to the fact that after several washes they shrink anyway, but overall this TANK is better than any other Tank out. I guarantee that.
Not much more you can ask for in a quality tank. I really like the way it fits snug despite me being a thinner guy. The cotton is very soft, no rubbing or itching. I've worn as undergarments, for leisure, and I've even played ball in one during an impromptu pick up game. They've performed well enough for me to have purchased quite a few in both colors, white & black. I did notice one begin to seperate at the neck band after a few washes, but one in maybe around 15 didn't upset me too much. The only other issue I find is in the price...wished they'd be more around $20. But overall I like them.
