I read the reviews saying that these thing hurt, and they sure do. In fact, they were like spikes in my feet for the first three days. Then, once i broke them in they feel amazing. It's one of those things, if they hurt, you probably need them. The reason I was okay purchasing was that I've seen this "foot massage spike thingy" technology before so I knew there was a method to the madness. They feel great on my feet now.
Got these pure boost busenitz recently and they are amazing! Boost sole is what you expect, comfortable and responsive. I have the red suede and it is gorgeous with its stitch detailing. Only 2 complaints. The first is that you need to order at least 1/2 a size or even 1 size down as they are pretty big and loose fitting. These run larger than nmd's would. The second complaint is what others have said before in that the thin leather material around the heel is pressed very thin and sharply. You gotta be careful if you plan to wear low ankle socks because the abrasion will really wear on your heels. I didn't have any cuts but definitely felt like I was reaching that point. All in all still a recommended buy just based on a beautiful boosted classic!
I love love love these shoes. They are smaller than the picture makes them look, but in the best way possible. they are extremely comfortable, much like walking on memory foam. the arch support is outstanding. Two things that did not bother me but might be a problem for others: 1.) the mesh is very thin. if you are looking for a shoe to wear in the winter, this is probably not for you 2. the back does come up very high. i can definitely see how this might be problematic/a cause for blisters for some people. i have a pretty arched tendon back there so it's not a problem at all for me. Another thing to note, the bottom mesh is not connected to the sole in the middle. this is not a problem at all it's just not something i noticed before purchasing. (Also the aglets are pink and blue) Overall, this is probably my favorite sneaker i've ever purchased. i looove these shoes!
I love these shoes! I'm training for football and had a pair of nikes and the comfort level was night and day. Really recommend these for quick lateral movements, balance based workouts, and lifts. Extremely comfortable and well worth the money. Still wish I got the navy blue and red ones when I had the chance :,(
15 yr old got blisters on back of ankles, she wanted to see if she could get used to but the shoe ripped within 2 weeks just wearing around school so we sent it back. Sad because she loved them and would've been comfortable besides blisters, they just come up to high in the back.
Amazingly comfortable. I want to wear these everywhere. One downside is it runs large. I usually wear size 11 shoes and the size 11 of these was about a half size to full size too big. But still amazing.
It's amazingly comfortable. It's like foam but what's better is thereally is also foam /padding on the upper part of the sandal . The part with the adidas logo. A must buy Sizing : my tts is 8.5 so I went with an 8 and fits perfect
I own 3 pairs of these shoes. I love my first 2 pairs that have more of the cloth type material. It stretches just enough but fits my foot like a glove. My 3rd pair I don't really care for. The top is the mesh material. It is to stretchy and my foot feels like I have zero support on the sides. I love the elevated arch and boost. I feel like I'm walking on air. I wish they would put some piece of support at the toes because when I where them to the gym my feet slide forward with circuit training. I know there are trainers similar to these but I tried them and didn't love them. I hope they make another pair black and white mix for the fall. Mine from last year are the favorite pair of tennis shoes I've ever owned!
I just bought this today at store. Love this shoes so much. One of the most comfortable shoes I've had. The middle part hold my feet so nice. I want to buy another pair differeny colors..waiting until sale ..hehe
I always go with Adidas shoes, and was super excited when I ordered these. But they were really uncomfortable. Other Adidas I never even had to 'break in', but these didn't get any less comfortable with wear. I first tried walking around town and my calves got sore, I ran and my soles got sore quick, I boxed and the floating arch support felt like no support at all. My ankles were slipping and hurting so bad after one workout. I'll be returning and trying another style. I still love Adidas for style and comfort, but this one wasn't for me.
Arch Perfection but...the back comes up so high that it gave me blisters after wearing for 2 hours! I have high arches so I loved the arch support but sadly I will need to return due to the back. So bummed!
The product looks nice and feels nice for the most part, however the back of the shoe comes up so high on the ankle it has given me and many of my friends blisters and the whole shoe becomes uncomfortable to wear after a few hours
I've worn these shoes twice, for about an hour at a time. The second time I put them on, I noticed that one of the stripes was already peeling off. I've owned dozens of Adidas over the past few decades, and this hasn't happened before. Overall, the shoes look great. Because of the unique weave, I wouldn't suggest them for working out in--the weave gives a lot, and if you were to run, your feet would slide around in them too much. I'd also be careful of tightening the laces too much--it looks like the lace holes would eventually stretch, or worse, rip. But for now, they're cool looking shoes. Just wish the glue on the stripes was better. Because of the cost and that flaw, I wouldn't recommend these shoes.
After three months, both of these cleats were shredded on the sides where the toes flex. I've bought many many cleats over the years and this has never happened. Absolutely cannot recommed these based on unbelievably poor quality.
I usually wear a 5.5-6 in athletic shoes and took a 5.5 in these Pureboost X. The fit is snug and soft. The floating arch is a cool feature and provides good support. I have a low arch in my left foot and a normal arch on my right, so I do get some cramping in my left foot if I am doing a plyo workout. After a short break-in period, I can now walk and run short distances without any problems. I did have a blister at my heel due to the higher back after the first time I wore them, but since then, that hasn't been a problem. The shoes seem to get dirty very easily, but that is a consequence of the light color scheme I got (light green/blue with pink sole). I've noticed a loose string though, and it's only been a month, so I am a little concerned about that.
I had to play around to get the sizing right and the shoes did rub my ankles a little at first, but once they were broken in, they were fine. I have high arches so lightweight shoes are hard for me to wear. So I really liked the arch support and the weight of these shoes a lot. I purchased them either in Jan or Feb and just noticed today that the bottoms are pretty worn through. I've run 2 5Ks, 2 10Ks, and usually run at least 5 miles a week, so these shoes have gotten a lot of use, but i'm still replacing them a solid 5-11 months sooner than I've ever replaced any other pair. That's something to keep in mind if your mileage is heavy!
These shoes and I don't pair well. This shoe is comfortable enough to walk in, but that's about it. First, I am a pretty true 6.5 when is comes to sneakers, this fit slightly short where my big toe would rub a tad against the top of the shoe with any forward movement. The boost "technology" is awesome If you're looking for a shoe with lots of cushion and bounce. I guess for me I look for a shoe that sits a little closer to the ground so I can have more stability. The gap at the bottom of the arch also contributes to that feeling of lack of stability. My feet end up hurting and feeling achy after wearing these for a gym session. I also tried doing a short run and these just killed my feet.
BEST SHOE EVER! Love using this shoe for short runs, weight lifting and doing bootcamp style workouts. Your foot feels amply supported around the foot; like it's being hugged! The boost cushioning is super springy and responsive which is great for jumping!
I was reluctant at first to order these based on the reviews posted, but I'm very glad I bought them. My feet are pretty sensitive and the "spikes" don't hurt at all, they feel amazing -- ESPECIALLY with no socks! I've been wearing these around all day and don't plan on taking them off until I go to bed :) I usually wear a 9.5, ordered a 9, and they're a tiny bit long, so you'll probably want to order a half size to a size down depending on how wide your feet are. The strap is adjustable, though.
I wanted a lightweight pair of shoes for just running around in. My regular running shoes are just too bulky. These are perfect. I have wide feet and because of the sock like fit, they work perfectly. The backs come up too high on my ankle, but I just rolled them down a bit and it stays. I love the way it wraps my arch. I have plantar fasciitis and wear orthotics in my running shoes, but I can walk all day without pain in these. I tried a little run in them, but I need more cushion in my running shoes. I wouldn't hesitate wearing them to Disneyland all day though. I have the cute floral pair and I now need to buy another more neutral pair to wear with more things.
This shoe is interesting. It looks great in pictures but in reality, the material on the toe box - that reverse-studded neoprene - looks cheap in person. This shoe's sole is very comfortable BUT it is a bit narrow for a size 9 (what I normally wear). It also has terrible breathability. Upon closer inspection, some of the the dimples on the polyester are actual perforations but the majority are not. This shoe becomes an oven very quickly. The material on the back of the shoe (the white) is very nice. Overall, shoe is disappointing since it looks and feels worse than what I'd expect from adidas.
I love love love my pure boosts!!! Love the design, it looks great on foot even with a size like 9.5. The arch is pretty high so my foot had to get used to it, since I don't have high arches, but I love them for walking and jogging mostly. I feel like they slip a little if you do other workouts. But overall-- I want more pairs in different colours!!
These shoes are really nice to walk in. It feels like your walking on clouds. Also fits like a new pair of socks. And they can be used to ride a board. Although there not as durable for skating, they are super lite and grip super good on grip tape. I did not give a 5/5 bc I have never ranked a shoe beside one shoe (jordan 11s, space jam series) but these have a great comfort and an good skatability (not great for skating but good)
I LOVE the style of these shoes (why I gave 2 stars), ok support, enough shock resistance for what I needed (vacation walking). But they squeeze the middle of my feet sooo bad. I have fairly narrow feet and couldn't believe after an hour or two they were hurting and at the end of the day felt such a relief to take them off. I wanted them to be my favorite, but until they can come out with a wide, or perhaps revisit the tension caused by the super unique design, I will have to resist. Also note, they felt fine when I tried them on in store:/
These shoes offer incredible heel and arch support. Similar to orthotics, it took a few times wearing them to acclimate my feet to them. After the first time wearing them, my heels and arches felt a bit strained, however they felt so good when I put them on that I continued to wear them and after 4-5 days my feet now feel great during and after I wear them. I'm very active and I LOVE these running shoes. Be patient with them, just like orthotics, your feet need to acclimate to them, but once they do, they're fabulous!!
