Energy Boost 2.0 ESM Shoes
Converted to running with cushioning
I got a pair of these from my company as part of a promotion and had to sign up to do a half marathon in them (my first ever), I had been for months trying to go from padding to zero drop and minimal cushioning as I felt shoes with cushioning had contributed to my plantar fasciitis. So I was understandably disappointed and concerned when I had to start training in these.
First impressions after I started was that surprising amount of bounce back I got, going from minimal to cushioned, this was to be expected, however the shoe did not feel heavy at the heel at all and since I strike at the mid-foot, it made running a lot easier.
Fast forward a marathon, 2 half marathons and plenty of 10k plus runs, I tried running without these shoes and my time was noticeably worse! I was running almost 1KMPH slower without these shoes, this may just be in my head, however I run with different shoes and I use the same app on my phone to time all my runs. I train in the city and it's all concrete, maybe that has something to do with why cushioning helps?
The only issue I have is because of the heel-to-toe drop on these shoes, I don't feel they are any good for weight training, especially if you're lifting heavy weights while standing. You can wear them casually, you can wear them to run, but I feel they don't make good weight training shoes (they are running shoes and not cross trainers after all).
I have to say I am thoroughly impresses especially since my plantar fasciitis has not bothered me at all with these shoes and it would normally flare up 2-3KM into a run with shoes that don't agree with me. I would highly recommend this shoe and I plan to purchase a pair for next years races! Maybe I'll try something different from the boost range!

Up side : The fit is a bit tight but i like. The feeling when your feet hit the ground is really good, I have some knee (Runner's Knee Diagnosis) issues and it help me heal from it. I ran a 5miles without pain or suffering any discomfort. I'm a 5km to 10km runner, 3 times a week, with a pace of 5min20s / Km. These shoes are perfect for that kind of running.
Down side : God the color is ugly. I bought the solar red one and there's no way it's red. It's pink, big time pink. It would probably taste something if I lick them.. bubble gum or something. I'm really disappointed about that. See the attached pictures. i recommend these shoes but should've ordered the black and white one.

Best Running Shoe on the Market
I swear by all adidas product and the boost line of running shoes has done nothing but exceed expectations. I've had boost since the first generation shoe was released almost 2 years ago, and have loved the responsiveness and cushion the shoe provided. The tech fit upper in the 1st gen. made it feel like a second skin hugging your feet, but the new ESM on this 2.0 Boost is an even better treat than the regular tech fit. More breathable and versatile, it only makes a perfect running shoe even more perfect. I can only say so much by personal experience, so I say buy a pair of Boost's and surely you'll never go back to your old running shoes ever again.

Fantastic energy return - watch out for Solar Red
I originally purchased this shoe in Solar Red. Let me tell you. There is no red in that shoe. It's pink. Hot pink. My 4 1/2 y/o son said "Daddy, why did you buy pink shoes?". So, if a child thinks its pink...its pink. HOWEVER, after returning those and getting the Black/White pair, the shoes have been fantastic running in. I've put about 50 miles in them so far and they are holding up great and really have a great energy return, especially as you increase your pace. They are light and wrap your foot rather well. As others have pointed out, they do feel pretty tight. I wear a size 15 shoe and this is borderline too small for me and unfortunately they don't make a size 16. However, my feet aren't moving around in the shoe thus not causing blisters, so that is a plus. The only downside that I've seen so far is there is little traction on any wet surface.

If you wore the original Energy Boost and expect the same feel from this shoe, you will be hugely disappointed. After 3 days of using them, my left ankle is getting a slight sore spot (which NEVER happened with the original Energy Boost) not to mention I can't wear the shoes without discomfort because the tops of my feet are sore from the eyelet design. I want to ad that when I first put the shoes on, they seemed to fit well. I am returning these shoes. Will try to order some old Energy Boost on line somewhere and then at some point. I expected the new improved Energy Boost to at least give me the same pleasure out of running but Adidas failed miserably with those expectations.

worth every penny
The shoe does exactly what it says on the box. I spent a lot of time on choosing the right running shoes. Must admit I took a risk with adidas, but I do not regret my decision, so far so good, works perfect for me, no blisters, no uncomfortable rubbing etc..the shoe hugs your feet. Upper fits perfect in my case, I havnt got a wide nor narrow feet, more like a normal. And the midsole is making this shoe ideal, You just dont want to stop running;-)
I have ordered half size up than my previous ascics, fits just perfect. 10 oout of 10 from me. Well done adidas

NOT A FAN
LOVED the Boost 1 &2...went through 4 pair in the past year logging 30-50 miles/week depending on the season. Just bought the new ESM 2.0 and turned back after a half mile. Felt like I was running in sand. AWFUL SHOE. Also, the tape support at the front toe is beyond annoying. It rubs against the toes. waste of of money. Bring back the 2.0 or 1.0

Great, comfortable shoe
These shoes feel great -- nice and snug without feeling tight or restricting. I run about four to ten miles about 4 or 5 times a week, on the streets and sidewalks. I didn't realize my previous shoes were uncomfortable until I bought these. They have good support and good cushioning also.

Size is Way Off
I have purchased two pairs of these shoes and they are really amazing. The one problem I have is that the sizes are all screwed up. I normally wear a size 10.5 shoe size. I had heard that the shoes run small so I bought a size 11 (ordered it from adidas online) and the shoes is still way too small. I'm stuck with a brand new pair that don't fit and hurt my feet. I tried wearing them thinking that they would stretch out but they haven't. Buyer beware of the size of these shoes. In fact, order 2 sizes larger than you normally do if you buy them.
