At adidas, we create products that help you perform better, play better, feel better. From the street to the court, studio to the pitch, we want you to be as passionate about your purchase as we are about designing the best products for athletes. If one of our products fails to satisfy you—for any reason—please return your order within 30 days of the shipping date for a full refund. Some restrictions apply.*

Return by Mail

If you would like to return an item by mail, simply follow the instructions below within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. 

1. Prepare your packing slip.

  • Go to and either login to your account OR sign in as a guest by entering your order number and zip code.
  • Select the item(s) you want to return along with the reason for returning them.
  • Print your shipping label.


2. Pack your return items along with the return detail slip (in the original box if possible). Attach the shipping label to the box covering up any previous delivery addresses or barcodes.

3. Ship your package by dropping your return shipment at any UPS Store or UPS drop-off location.

4. Receive a credit or refund.

Your return will be processed within 7 business days of receipt at our warehouse. Your refund will be applied to your original method of payment and will show on your next statement, depending on the issuing bank and/or billing cycle. For more information, see Refunds and Credits below.

Return items purchased in-store

We are not able to accept returns of new merchandise obtained from a retailer other than those items purchased on To return new products purchased at a retail store, please return the product to the retail location where it was purchased. If the retail location will not accept your return, please contact us

If you have a damaged or defective adidas product that was purchased from a retailer within the last two years and the original retailer was unable to assist, you may be eligible for a manufacturing inspection. Please contact us to set up a Return Authorization. Please make sure that you have the Article Number of the product available before calling. This number can be found on the side-seam tag of apparel items and under the tongue of footwear.

Please note: adidas has several licensees that manufacture specialized equipment. If you have purchased a defective item such as an accessory, bag, hat, or piece of equipment, please refer to our list of licensees.

Return Custom mi adidas items

mi adidas products are customized just for you. That means we cannot accept returns, except for manufacturing defects. If you have any questions regarding defective merchandise returns for a mi adidas product purchased online at, please contact us.

Defective mi adidas Custom Products

Returned products are inspected by our Quality Assurance department. If the damage is the result of a manufacturing defect or deviation from factory specifications, we will gladly refund the cost of the product. Please note: we are unable to refund the cost of taxes or shipping charges associated with your purchase. We are not able to process returns for products that are:

  • Damaged by abuse or negligence (exposure to chemicals, caustic substances, open flame, high heat, sharp objects, etc.)
  • Damaged by misuse or activities other than the intended purpose (use of running shoes for court sports or hiking footwear as work boots, etc.)
  • Damaged by normal wear and tear or have exceeded the reasonable life of the product.
  • Purchased using a gift card from a previous return authorization. 


Refunds and Credits

Your return will be processed within 7 business days of receipt at our warehouse. Your refund will be applied to your original method of payment and will show on your next statement, depending on the issuing bank and/or billing cycle. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment with adjustments to credit cards made within two billing cycles.

If an order was purchased with a gift card:

When you return an order that was purchased using a Gift Card (whether it’s a portion of the order or the entire order), we will process your return in one of the following two ways:

  • If you paid with an adidas Gift Card, the credit will be issued to a new adidas Gift Card and sent to you via USPS.
  • Payments made using a gift card and credit card will be refunded in the same manner. Your refund will process to the original forms of payment. The full gift card amount will be refunded first. When we process a return for an order that was purchased with an adidas Gift card and a credit card, we deduct the shipping charges from the adidas Gift Card.

If an order was purchased as a gift:

If you purchased and shipped a gift using and the gift is returned, the credit for the gift will go to your original form of payment only.

adidas Barricade Six-Month Outsole Guarantee

This six-month performance guarantee covers Barricade replacement shoes if the outsole wears out within six months of the date of purchase. adidas reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine whether the outsole is worn out. Shoes that are not used properly or are intentionally or negligently damaged will not be replaced. This offer is good for only one replacement pair per purchase. Custom mi Barricades that qualify for the adidas Barricade Six-Month Outsole Performance Guarantee are replaced with a current inline style and are not replaced with another customized pair. Team purchases, Barricade Team and Kids Barricade shoes are not eligible for this replacement guarantee.

To submit a claim for your Barricade shoe replacement: 

1. Prepare your return package.

In a secure envelope or box, please include the following four items: 

  • Your worn shoes
  • Your original, legible receipt; and 
  • A cashiers check, money order or personal check made out to 'adidas' for $13.25 per pair to cover return shipping. 

Please Note: Shoes not accompanied by the original receipt will not be considered for replacement.

2. Pack and label your return package.

3. Ship your package.

Since we cannot assume responsibility for misdirected or lost shipments, we recommend you use a shipping service that offers tracking options, such as FedEx, UPS, or USPS.

4. Receive your replacement pair of Barricades. 

As soon as we receive your return package, we will prepare and send your replacement shoes. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. Guarantee valid in the continental United States only. 


adidas Boost Guarantee Terms & Conditions

The BOOSTTM guarantee is valid within 30 days of purchase and applies only to adidas BOOSTTM running shoes that have been purchased from in the United States between March 25, 2014 and December 31, 2014. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please return your shoes via the process outlined for returns on this page.

mi adidas shoes are not included in the BOOSTTM guarantee as these are customized just for you.
