I was pretty sad that I have to return them. They fit too big for me and I was reallyyyyy looking forward to wearing them. I'll be getting a size 6 HOPING that they fit me well. I really do like how they fit though!
Great running shoe, I love the Primeknit upper with integrated tongue, the whole shoe feels as if it wraps around your foot. I've quite wide feet, these shoes fit me perfectly. They don't quite have the same cushioning as ultraboosts but they definitely fit better and are probably more suited to longer runs.
Personally, I feel few trainers come close to the flexibility and comfort of Climacool. I committed to buying a pair of these way back in the 00s when they first launched (see pic). And (I kid you not), I have literally stuck with the same pair of trainers for over 15+years! During that time, they've been used mainly for gym and home workouts. In fact, I was so reluctant to change my old pair that I have superglued them back together several times! That is until recently when I stumbled across the new 2016/17 Climacool1 version. It was a no-brainer. Delivery was swift, they even arrived two days before the due date and the product doesn't disappoint. I love them so much, I'm probably even going to buy another pair real soon!
This purchase was definitely worth it. I totally would recommend buying. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. I only have a problem with piling. After maybe 3 or 4 wears they started piling and it it was upsetting. I absolutely love the shoes reguardless, just upset with the piling.
These shoes are a beautiful colour. I wasn't sure about the tongue, it leaves my foot feeling a little sweaty through my sock but I'm sure I'll get used to such a little issue. I have wide feet which seem to be well catered for by this shoe, bunion not so much but what can you do? Top notch quality as always Adidas.
The shoes are extremely comfy and have good ankle support. The only problem is that you should never use these for outdoor playing, the sole is not very durable. It is just a shame that these could have been the jwall 3.
I had a pair of these years ago and loved them. Glad I chose to go back. They are comfy, keep your feet nice and fresh, and look cool. Only 1 issue, there is a bit of plastic in the heel which gives it it's shape. I find it can sometimes irritate the back of my foot. Time will tell as to whether or not it softens up a bit. Other than that, very pleased.
I've had gazelle shoes since the mid 70's... the quality from adidas has never changed. Although the concept of the shoe is old the function and fashion has never diminished. Thoroughly recommend the shoes as a fashion item... not really a running shoe as they once were.
I've been wearing Gazelles for years. Yeah, I'm old enough to have worn them when the first came out. They stopped making them for a bit a few years ago and then started again. But the shoes are different. The heel isn't nearly as sturdy and they fall apart after a while. Buy 'em if you like the style, they're classics. But be prepared to buy another pair pretty soon after 'cause they're not gonna last.
I bought these shoes for marathon training and I am now on my second pair. They are the perfect balance of comfort for longer runs, combined with speed. I also now need only one shoe for training and racing! Brilliant.
Basically if you are the kind of person to want to stand out a little and dont want to blow 300 notes on some top range trainers, Gazelles are made for you. They are the classic trainer everyone knows what you are getting the newer version has a new tongue to it with slight grooves down the centre but this leads to it staying in place better and is a step up from the last version of a solid one piece of almost rubber.
I bought these in the black and white colorway about a year ago, and have been wearing them ever since, the material has minimum wear and the comfort is superb. my only complaint is the sizing, I wear a size 12, but i would go down to an 11.5. Other than that phenomenal.
Such a great, simple, but classic shoe. Highly recommend OVER the Campus or Stan Smith, as only the Gazelle still has arch supports!!! Not a fan of the rubber toe on the Super Star, or the large bump toe of the Samoa. To me, the Gazelle is perfect on the inside (arch support) and the outside (full leather from end to end).
