These shoes live up to the standards and reviews everyone has said before. There are a few issues that I have, which may or may not be a deal breaker. I went down a size which is perfect length and width now, but there is still heel slippage. My friends have the same shoe and also encounter the back part of the shoe slipping while playing. The loose back seems to also affect the shoe laces loosening up. I like my shoes nice and snug and hate to stop to retie my laces. The biggest issue with the white shoes is that Adidas did not use continental rubber for the sole. At first the traction does its job, but eventually you'll find yourself wiping the bottom every other possession in the game. This is annoying! Overall these shoes are great though. For its price, there really isn't anything that can argue with it unless you grab the Crazy Explosives. If you're looking for a low top shoe that gives you the freedom to move like a guard and so hard cuts, this is your shoe. The boost sole is also super comfortable and works for impact protection.
Being a Coloradan, one thing I look for is functionality and wearability. I have no issue outside of the pants fitting right around muscled and developed calves. The pant leg is quite constrictive and really does make the pants less likely to be worn.
I was skeptical on buying these shoes at first, but decided I would get them to use as shoes to practice in this season. The moment I opened them up I was in love! I am a huge fan of all white shoes and the color is great, the look is great and they feel awesome! They are a little tight but I have yet to break them in! Totally would buy again.
Great looking shoe. Very comfortable in the toe area. I wear adidas superstars all the time and they fit perfect. I bought these in the same size as a my superstars but the crazylight boost 2.5 are extremely tight on the top of my foot behind the toes and in the heel area. They seem to fit a little better as they are breaking in.
The cushioning are A1, looks great. Overall i'm pretty satisfy with the shoes. But, i suggest to go full size down, i went half size down the first time, and they were still long, so i went down a full size, it will get a better lock down.
5'7" 148lb, trim legs, a little thick around waist; normally wear pants 6-8 (more on 6 side) and medium shirts. Ok important to describe build, because it can determine what size you need. Medium was huge for me. Even if I pulled the pants below my breasts, they were still too long. At belly button, I could pull (pant) waist away from my belly and measure at least 6 inches of room. I tried rolling pant waist over, still too baggy in waist, thighs and length. Interesting enough, the pink stripe pant in this same collection was smaller in the waist. Still big, but could at least roll over once and wear comfortably. Keeping pink stripe pair, returning this pair (navy w/grey stripes). I'd say the medium was more like a large. Comfortable but purchase size down.
Adidas people PLEASE make a wide version of these shoes! They look great and all the poeple seem to like them! I love them but I have a very wide feet and does not fit me/I have a big problem finding shoes to fit me/! I am sure there are other people with the same problem!
The shoe is great, I always feel a bit of sore under my patella when I land in my previous shoes but I have none in the crazylight 2016. However I really dissapointed by Adidas Indonesia since they sell this shoe only in it's white on white colorway and the price is around $250. it's more than a double than the original price in the US. Adidas should do better pricing strategy since it's way more expensive than the rival signature brand.
These shoes are very comfortable, the primeknit material forms around your foot and flexes with it as you move, I've been using them for volleyball and the cushioning feels fantastic. The only issue I have with them is that for ME they are a little high on the ankle which i don't like, if you are looking for something that forms around the anklebone, you might want to find something else because these cover that area. ALSO one thing i did notice was that these shoes are a bit heavy, if you are someone who likes lighter shoes this one might be a stretch for you Traction is very good as well, havent slipped once yet after playing with them for a week, and on some fairly dusty courts.
I was so disappointed in these sweat pants. The waitst/stomach was fine but the legs were very wide, making me look very wide. I own a pair of Adidas sweat pants from many years ago, and these are nothing like them. I immediately returned them.
I have gotten the D Rose 7 Multi-Color about a week ago. Great shoe, the design is uniquely Adidas. A bit narrow though for my foot, as I heard. So, when I bought them, I got .5 bigger, size 13.5. Got extra space for my big toe, but was still narrow and a bit tight around my foot. Feels comfortable on the court, haven't played a full court performance game yet, but just running and shooting. Cushion in shoe gives the boost in leaping ability, and no pain in take off. Make sure to wear right performance socks with this shoe. Grip of shoe on court still needs a bit work like all the other D Roses, but still good. Can't wait to see Derrick Rose play in them this NBA season on the Knicks.
The best shoe of the year, hands down. Everything is just great from cushion, fit, lock down, support, and traction. It would be perfect if Adidas make a low top Drose signature like they did with the 2s and 3s.
Truly pains me that I had to return these due to inconsistent sizing and fit. The left shoe fit great but the right was way off. Traction and cushion were all time. I had the most issues with the shallow heel cup and the lacing was a bit off for me. Really too bad because these are one of the most comfortable hoop shoes I've ever put on. Lock down was just a little too unstable for me personally. If the ankle collar was just 2 cm higher in the heel, I think they would've been perfect.
Phenomenal shoe! The bounce sole provides amazing cousin, great traction even on dusty floors, primeknit is extremely comfortable and breathable while keeping your foot locked down! Color ways could be better, but all around brilliant shoe for a great price too.
the boost is amazing, it provides great cushion and feels great while not lacking in court feel. The traction is the best I've used, I've played in the curry 2, kyrie 2, Kobe 9, and the Jordan 28 to put in perspective. It's beastly. It won't last on out door courts tho. The fit is just right and I recommend going true to size. There is just a little dead space by the toe in true to size and if you don't like that go down half a size but it's not a problem at all. Lockdown and support is amazing (it's made for d rose come on it has to be to protect those glass ankles. Overall it's a great show and I'm calling it this early it's the best shoe for the 2016-2017 basketball season I love it.
The look and comfort of this shoe are both great. However, I have had my foot completely slip out of the shoe THREE times while making cuts in a basketball game. I tied them tighter and it still happened. That is the sign of a flawed product when it comes to performance.
Adidas Crazylight Boost low is by far the best basketball shoe ive played in. Now, Iam not a hooper but i do play rec and with Friends. The quality of the shoe is great and the bost is felt during play. Pretty good traction, very comfotable, and your feet Will not Hurt afterwards. The only problem is the fit of The shoe, you need to go half a size down. Other than that you Will get your moneys worth, HANDS DOWN.
Great low top shoe. Full length boost provided solid cushioning and the upper of the shoe fits very comfortably and snug. The continental rubber used on the sole makes for excellent traction. Beware, the shoe runs half a size to a full size too big. So if you wear an 11, go ahead and get a 10 or 10 1/2
Not sure why people are so in love with this shoe. The Crazylight Boost Low 2016 is definitely an above average shoe (especially for how much it costs in comparison to competitors). Pros: Boost- very comfortable-- different feel from Ultra BOOST because the BOOST is more dense and compacted Traction- A1, awesome/great/phenomenal. The use of continental rubber definitely helps and makes it more the outsole more sticky and durable Material: Jacquard is very durable and definitely better than most fused uppers. Flexible and soft enough to provide comfort and durable enough to not tear or rip easily. Cons: Lockdown- HORRIBLE. Lots of heel slippage when walking, running, and jumping. I thought lockdown would be a given in 2016 for any basketball shoe (even if it's a low top because they do exist) Fit- WTH?! 1. The shoe is outrageously extra long so going down a half size is actually like going up a half size in a normal shoe. If you go down a FULL size in the Crazylight BOOST 2016 then you're actually getting your normal size that you would purchase for any other shoe (I hope that makes sense) 2. There is only 4 lace holes/ eyelets! Why adidas did this is beyond me and it doesn't make sense. I don't think that is related to any heel slippage, but rather having only 4 lace holes doesn't keep the foot from sliding around in the shoe and keeping the shoe molded/hugging your foot. It's very abnormal to only have 4 lace holes when most others shoes average 6-8 lace holes which seems to get the job done lockdown wise. Overall, I would still consider this shoe to be above average because of the great traction (which you can't find in a lot of shoes out there for some reason) and because of the BOOST which makes it a very comfortable shoe and great for absorbing impact. I gave the shoe 3 starts because it's an above average low top basketball shoe, but lacks a very effective lockdown which is essential to me because if a basketball shoe doesn't have great lockdown then I might as well play in tennis shoes.
I was disappointed in the lack of cushion on these shoes. I am used to wearing Ultra Boost off court and D Rose 6 on court and was hoping for the same feel--not even close. If you are looking for that boost feel, go with the Crazy Explosive instead. That said, if you like less cushion and more court feel these might be perfect for you. They are comfortable, but just don't give that boost feel I was expecting. I have a slightly wide foot and true to size on these was perfect for me.
Got these kicks in the Andrew Wiggins Timberwolves home colorway at footlocker for $80. It was perfect in my opinion. The boost in the heel was very comfortable and the adiprene+ was decent as well to give enough cushioning to feel comfortable wearing them for hours on end but not sacrificing court feel. The primeknit upper and mesh lower is also top quality. The traction is excellent and you stop very hard and don't have to wipe too much. Just don't take these outside. The only problem that you may encounter is the fit and lockdown. The fit feels a little uncomfortable when you first play in these, but after a few days you get used to it. You just don't feel as locked down and secure as other shoes, but it's not the worst lockdown I've had in a shoe. It just didn't match the high grade of the other aspects of this crazylight model. Overall, these are a solid shoe to hoop in and you should definitely try them out.
After 6 hours on slight dust wooden floor, comfort level was good, bounce and heel-toe transition very good, traction outstanding, material seems durable. Having narrow feet and weak ankles, I am amazed how supportive a low-top can be.
As usual, these adidas pants are of the highest quality. However, a couple of years ago, I purchased the same pants, which fit perfectly in the hip area and still do. However, this new pair is very tight in the hip area. I wonder if there are different factories that produce slight variations in the patterns? Also, some jean companies have different "cuts" (e.g. low cut, high waist) for different body types...perhaps adidas could adopt this practice.
This shoe is amazing. I have a wide foot and wear orthodoics and the fit is a 7/10 for me but cushion and traction are so ridiculous that although it doesn't fit my personal foot well and my heel slips some, it is the best performing basketball sneaker I have. Best cushion I own wise if brandblack Jcrossover 3 is a 5/10, KD9 and Drose 6 are 7/10, this shoe is a 10/10 and the traction blows all those shoes out of the water. Great shoe, the best shoe I have, and the crazy part is it could still be better!
Traction is phenomenal. Cushion is absolutely insane. Fit is a bit longer than I'd like it to be. The heel lockdown is the only thing I don't like. It doesn't slip out while playing, but I don't have a secure lockdown feel. Amazing shoe overall. Would definitely double up on. Great job Adidas.
