micoach is all you need to get the results you want.
This is a much more comfortable shoe vs. the 6,7, 8 & 8+ barricades. The upper is a lot softer meaning the toe box is not as hard. Also, now that the stability has been moved toward the mid/rear of the foot thanks to the new chassis, the 9 is much more flexible in the forefoot. As a result I feel a little quicker off the mark without a compromise in stability. Does feel a little lighter also and not as bulky compared to previous models. Also, I am usually a size 10, however in these I wear a 10.5, in fact in most adidas I go up half a size.
There are some changes to this new line of Barricade tennis shoes; softer upper shell means less break-in time and new look. For me, they did hurt the inside of my ankle for a while for some time. They are a bit narrow which are fine for my feet. My size is usually 11.5 but for barricades I sometimes go up half a size and got a 12. They look good too. I'm not sure about those circles though, but I guess they have to be there. Regarding performance, they are as good as it gets for a tennis shoe. I can say they are like a combination of Barridcade 7 and adizero feather 3 shoes. Easy on changing direction (the silver part is there to hold and brace the foot when changing directions), no slipping, hugs the foot, light and they feel low to the ground too, like a speed shoe.
So far so good. I gave up on Barricades a few years ago because they were too clunky and heavy and they were badly-designed in that they were sharp on the arch of the foot. I'm pleased to say that now they're lighter and much better-fitting. They still run small though (I had to go for 11.5 rather than 11 as the latter were too small). Will see how they go as I wear them in though.
Played with Stan Smith's then switched to Eli Nastase's which for me were the best tennis shoe I ever used. I only play in adidas tennis shoes (none of the others work for me [tried them all] as I have schlosis which impacts my bending etc. When I could no longer buy the Eli Nastase's I tried some other adidas shoes but they were just not the same. This shoe is great if you don't want to spend over $80 and if you have a high in step and wide feet. I run on air with these shoes and the are very sure footed. Your feet will thank you. I plan to buy five and store them to last the next ten years...., once six thirteen is available again.
I have bought a few pairs of these shoes (black/white and black/solar slime). I think they are the best looking barricades ever made. As is the tradition with all barricade shoes, they are like a tank. They take a beating and still stand up straight; tough outsole, probably the best. There is a lot of room in forefoot area (I have narrow feet) and they are comfortable enough. Here is the only con. I find these shoes not as flexible and comfortable as barricade 7. They are a bit on the stiff side (even after wearing them for a few months). And for those who are curious, these shoes are not micoach compatible.
I am really sold on these shoes, i play a lot of tennis and well fitted shoes are a must, i was fairly happy with the earlier model but these are WOW even better, sturdy base and light well ventilated upper body, fit like a glove, i would love an alternative colour but at this price :( i will make do with the one pair, Yes i would definatly recommend.
I have purchased team 4 recently and found I move very comfortably on the court. My serve and volley become more efficient as the acceleration and stopping of forward movement are easier. Great stuff. Edward
Fairly happy with these shoes, look great, although not great choices in colours. Fabric dot material gets dirty and hard to clean but overall shoe looks awesome.
It was a wonderful experience to have barricade9. I have been using Adidas since last 10 years and have used all models but Barr9 is the most beautiful.
The shoes really fits my feet, I don't think it needs the break-in time. However, it may leave an issue of being loosen after playing a couple of matches No comments on the durability since I play tennis twice a week, but it could not be a problem because I have owned other pairs of Adidas shoes without any issues of durability. All in all, the classic model is classic.
Cool shoes, absolutely recommend this product. Overall, good shoes indeed, but too narrow and small, recommend to buy 0.5 or 1 size lager than normal.
Just got this shoes today, and played tennis with it one hour ago. and I have to say that my size is US10, 1.83m height,I found out that the shoes isnt uncomfortable, heavy, it is perfect shoes to me now!
Compared to the 2014 model of these shoes, I would say it runs 1/2 a size larger. The material inside of the shoes feels softer as well as the outer material since they got rid of the plastic mesh with holes that covered most of the 2014 shoe. It feels like I'm wearing running shoes when I wear them...they are very comfortable. I'm not sure if I don't make as many side to side motions or that I don't notice the stability issue compared to one reviewer...overall if a person can live with the shoe being 1/2 a size larger, I like it more than the 2014 model.
one of the best shoes I have worn for basketball. extremely comfortable, light enough, great stability and support. very happy with appearance and overall fit
I have to admit, I dont play tennis. But I do run and the Adidas shoes I have owned in the past are put together very well. Eventually the old running shoes become my beat up walking and errand shoes. But not this time. I treated myself to this good looking shoe and I have to say they are built like a tank. A little stiff, but no pain. I did replace the insoles on all my running shoes with an aftermarket insole and I did so with these shoes too. They look good and feel good on my feet. All I need now are the tennis lessons.
