The Female Zidane

Dubbed as the “the female Zidane” by French media, Louisa Nécib has a lot of hype to live up to. Thankfully for her, she’s got the skills and drive to back it up. Louisa was named (UNFP) Female Player of the Year for the 2008-2009 season and won the UEFA Champion’s League in 2011 with Lyon.

We asked the French midfielder what it takes to play football at the highest level. “I train everyday and it so happens that we actually train twice a day,” Louisa explains. “When we train in the gym, it’s to work on muscle building. And we are often are paired with somebody else to help push each other.”
