Train for Fast

I like to be social when I’m training, but not too social, because we have to get work done.
Jeanette Kwakye is fast. She’s a three-time British 100 meters champion and also holds records at 60 meters. At 14, Jeanette began racing and quickly became addicted to the rush of winning.

Sixteen years later, Jeanette continues to train and compete at the highest level. So we wanted to know, after all these years, how does she keep it fun while pushing herself to run even faster? “I train six days a week and it does get boring,” says Jeanette. “But to keep it fun I like to be able to try new things, that way you kinda spice things up a bit. I like to be social when I’m training, but not too social, because we have to get work done. But I think it’s important that you do have friends there because it makes the work out so much easier.”
