Training with Jess

Make it more fun, have little competitions with your training partners. Staggered starts and things like that make it more entertaining.
British heptathlete Jessica Ennis went home with gold at the London 2012 Olympic games. Winning by the second widest margin in Olympic history. The 26-year old, multi-event athlete fulfilled her life-long dream in front of her home crowd and provided one of the most memorable moments of the 2012 games.

With the serious total-body strength that the heptathlon demands, it’s no surprise that Jessica trains like crazy. Her winning secret: keep it fun. “It’s so repetitive and when you’ve done it for years and years it can get a little bit boring,” says Ennis. “So to make it more fun, have little competitions with your training partners. Staggered starts and things like that make it more entertaining.”
