Individually, 2003 was one of Nathan's best seasons evidenced by a long list of accolades. These have included the coveted Brownlow Medal and the Magpies Best & Fairest, The Copeland Trophy which he received for the 6th time. Nathan also led his beloved team to a second straight AFL Grand Final birth in which the Magpies were unfortunately defeated by Brisbane.
